Nice store with nice people to assist you in your golf and other athletic needs. Trade with the Boca store more than north store. But they have both been long time palm beach county facilities. Prices are decent and club work is great

Have you ever wanted to walk around a store and have no one acknowledge you and/or even look past you to assist another customer? That’s exactly what I got when I went to the Golf Center. Not once, but TWICE. I come from a family of small business owners and I do my absolute to stay away from the big box stores and give stores like this my business. 

First visit, I was in the market for a new golf bag, preferably a stand bag, and I had an hour to kill for lunch Googled golf stores near me and this store popped up. The first picture you see on google is nothing but golf bags; I’m thinking to myself how perfect is this? I get there to find the majority of them are cart bags. The few stand bags I find aren’t to my liking, kind of a bummer. As I walked around aimless in the store I see a lot of associates…not one of them said hello, how are you, or let me know if you need anything…. a bit upsetting to experience from a store with so many good reviews.  

I make my way to the used club selections find a wedge that I’ve always wanted to try out the price was good so decided to go for it and check out. Apparently there’s a frequent customer/loyal customer program? Not sure as I was in line I overheard some cashiers ask other customers if they’d been to the golf center before and some said yes and gave their last name. It wasn’t until I checked out with my wedge is when someone from the store finally said something to me. When it was my turn I barely got a “Hello” or “Did you find everything ok?” Oh well.
I’m not one to burn people/business for one mishap so I decided to give the store another shot. 

Two weeks later I go back to get some impact tape, unfortunately I experienced the same service as I did the first time. No one greeted me or even asked me if I needed help. I find the impact label decide to walk around and try to see if they have anything good. I remembered my brother wanted to get a hitting matt so I look around and but didn’t see anything as I’m walking I get looked at by two associates neither of them even try to help me. I walk in the used section again and find a driver I’ve always wanted, but it was in a stiff shaft. Not gonna lie I really wanted that driver so I decided to make my way to the front counter and maybe someone can help me out. I get there and their computers are down and they are only able to ring people out that are paying with cash, which I don’t mind at all stuff like this is bound to happen. I get there place my item on the table and an associate grabs items from behind  places it on the counter and begins to ring someone else up, I understand that someone was ahead of me but he could have said, “I’m sorry sir but this lady was here first”, but I got nothing. 

After they calculate everything ring her out the cashier looks right past me to the guy that just walked up and asks him if he is paying with cash, I speak up and say, “Yeah I am”, he waves me over and doesn’t really ask me anything. I then ask him around how much are shafts as I found a driver I like but it’s in a stiff shaft and I would like it in a regular flex, he gives me a ball park figure of how much they are, but doesn’t ask me if I wanted to speak to someone about actually having this done. Not sure what I have to do to get some service.

The sales people are friendly and very knowledgeable. They also have a great selection of clothes and shoes and their repair shop is second to none.

Lovely selection of the latest golf clothes for both men and women. Friendly and helpful staff, gift wrap available , too! Wide selection of golf bags and clubs. Get a club regripped while you wait! These are a few reasons why I love Palm Beach Golf!
