We walked off of the beach to the shopping center and we were looking for some flip flops for my Husband and daughter. As my husband approached the door, the woman that worked there was sitting outside talking on her phone and rudely told my husband that he couldn’t walk into their shop without any shoes. Not one other shop said anything about not having shoes, and they all profited from us walking into their establishment. My husband quickly responded that he wouldn’t purchase anything from these people if his skin was melting off of his feet. We would have given a 0 Star if that were an option.
I will never spend a dime at this place and I suggest you don’t either. My family and I were walking down the beach today when we decided to check out some of the local shops. Since we were walking down the beach I did not have on any shoes. Being July you can imagine that the ground was very hot. So I wanted to get some flip flops. As I started to enter the shop a woman sitting on the bench just outside the store talking on her cell phone, looked at me and in the snottiest tone said, “you can’t go inside without any shoes.” I mean come on this shop is directly across the street from the beach. It wasn’t so much the rule as it was the way she said it. Any way their loss as we went to many of the other shops, “without my shoes” and purchased several items from most of them until I found a nice pair of Sketchers flip flops at Leani’s and the lady there was extremely nice and helpful. So were the ladies at Everything But Water. Do not shop at Palmettos.
This is one of the best shops for apparel and footwear. My husband and I always make sure to leave room in our suitcases for the purchases we make every trip. You can find great brands and unique items not found in other stores. This store is a must if you are looking for high quality.
Worth a look. Great options for beach wear. Loved the designers, Tommy Bahama and Feank Lyman.
