Story

Welcome to Palo Verde, home of the Jaguars!

Palo Verde Elementary School has a long and rich history. Originally built in 1952 and remodeled in 1996, our school has been an integral part of the Casa Grande Elementary School District, evolving to meet the needs of our changing community and world. Many of our students’ parents and grandparents attended Palo Verde and our school’s culture is steeped in traditions that are very important to our 460 students and their families.

Our staff works closely with the District Office and staff from the other elementary schools to align our instructional programs and our teachers collaborate regularly to meet the needs of all students and their families. In addition to academics, the staff and community also focus on the whole child. We have numerous choral, instrumental, physical educational activities, and an incredible assortment of after school activities including Legos, Spanish instruction, Strings, Yearbook, newspaper, and sports designed to help develop creative and athletic skills here at school. All of our students feed into Villago Middle School.

We have a diverse student body. The variety of cultural backgrounds strengthens our school and provides our students with many opportunities to learn from each other. Just like our school song says, it’s always a “great day to be at Palo Verde”!
