Emergency room dirty, staff very discourteous. Waited 5 hours & 40 minutes and still was unable to receive treatment. Asked about about the wait time was told a few more minutes and after 30 minutes finally left after no more communication. Other visitors were upset with the lack of concern over extended wait times.

WARNING! Stay away from this hospital!! A good friend of ours was recently admitted with a blocked bowel. His bowl cleared the first day in the hospital but they kept him on IVs with no food or water to prep him for surgery. They told him if he did not have surgery he would die. We checked him out the next day and drove him back to Idaho. He is now doing well eating and drinking and going to the bathroom with no surgery. While in Palo Verde Hospital one of his doctors yelled at him for not having the surgery. They tried to give him insulin when he did not have diabetes and the toilet leaked (cracked bowl) with water running onto the floor. They wrapped a towel around the toilet and did not attempt to fix the problem. This hospital should be avoided! Your life may depend on it.

My sister was admitted into ICU on 3/10/14. Every person we came into contact with from check-in to ICU staff was professional, courteous and caring. The ICU nurses that took care of my sister (until she passed away) were AMAZING - compassionate and kind treating her with dignity and respect. I can never thank them enough for the way they cared for her!!!!! Nothing but good to say about our entire 4 day experience there.

Would give them zero stars if we could. Very unprofessional admitting staff, no privacy to explain why you are there. Waiting room was dirty. When being interviewed prior to surgery the interviewer was interupted by another staff member who needed help with his cell phone so I had to sit and wait while the cell phone emergency was taken care of first. Doctor had no clue what to do with me and had to consult with another hospital for instructions. After all was said and done, the bill was enormous and very little paid by insurance. The balance of course went immediately to collections.
