We stopped by before the place was open for the day and the conversation we had with an employee caused us to decide to wait the hour to come back to eat. My sister and I tried the zucchini pizza and it was good, but the white pizza? Best. White. Pizza. Ever. And we eat a lot of white pizza from lots of different places. It brought a tear to my sister's eye. Seriously. The best. My sister's boyfriend got other stuff and said it was quite excellent as well. But seriously, try the white pizza.

We were here in Carnegie and loved it so we gave it a try.  Honestly this is my first review because I never cared all that much to leave anything.  I had to sign in to say that papa js has the best pizza I the city.  We also enjoyed there appetizers.  We really do not go out any longer because of the prices and the lack of service but this place is a must!  We will be giving several dollars to this establishment in the future days.

Must enjoy this new gem next time you're in the Strip. Everything we ate for lunch from start 6 pizza slices to finish homemade gelato was incredible. Amazing quality, great flavors, great owners / staff. Definitely take time to support this place! We will be back regularly.

First time here and it was fantastic!  Some of the best, if not the best Italian food we’ve had in Pittsburgh.  The noodles are obviously homemade in-house, and the marinara was incredible.  The pizza was great, also some of the best we’ve had.  We’ll absolutely be back

Went there today for lunch. Had the creamy basil pesto with roasted pinenuts. Excellent! My other friends had other meals that they thought were excellent as well. One of my friends requested a Diablo sauce to take home to her husband. The chef came out and asked how she wanted him to make it. Trust me when I tell you that the food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the chef rocks.  The bread and homemade pasta is beyond.

I just moved into an apartment in the strip and this place is by far one of my favorites in the neighborhood! They have so many different things to offer, from quick-service pizza by the square, to a sit-down experience with wine and pasta, and even just stopping in for a scoop of gelato. Everything is DELICIOUS and the overall vibe of the place is great. On the help wanted signs out front they’ve made it known that they’re super understaffed right now, but the employees they do have are amazing and super friendly, and it’s clear that everyone is giving 110%. I so hope that this place is able to stay opened and operating regardless of being short staffed because it’s wonderful!!

Highly recommend! This is REAL ITALIAN FOOD! The food is delicious and authentic, and the gelato is unique and scrumptious! I have come to this place so many times and tried many different dishes, and never have I been dissatisfied. Keep it up!

The gelato is amazing!! It's creamy, flavorful, and refreshing. They have a great selection of flavors, including non-dairy sorbet options that are also quite creamy and clearly made with real fruit. The quality is on par with some of the gelato I had in Italy! Definitely going to frequent this place from now on.

We used to go to PaPa JJ's in Carnegie for their amazing pasta. We were excited to hear them reopening in a new location. And went to check it out. This place did not disappoint on all fronts. From their authentic menu to the service. Veal meatballs and fresh bread - personal favorites. Overall - highly recommended Italian restaurant for an affordable price.

5* to the people working there. Everyone was helpful and nice. The food, not so good. 20+ years ago, Papa J’s was one of the best Italian restaurants in Pittsburgh. Their wedding soup had an odd taste. And I think the focaccia was frozen then toasted. With all the other choices in the area, I would suggest passing on this one.
