I’m writing this in light of recent events. recent meaning yesterday. I love my apartment, I love my neighbors and I love the area but I honest to god hate this place and how it’s run. we had an issue yesterday with grown adults screaming at each other in the middle of the day for no reason other than a child had gotten pushed over (on accident or on purpose I’m not sure) by another child playing outside. nobody handled that situation well and of course, the police were called to the complex probably about the 11th or 12th time THIS MONTH (October). now that wasn’t too terrible, what got me to write this review is the fact that in one of the buildings there are 6-7 grown adults living in a 2 bedroom apartment. my mother happens to live underneath them, and since they moved in has discovered cockroaches in her apartment even after their “pest control” (really it’s a joke because not once have I seen or gotten notice of pest control coming to spray since we moved in this new unit in March) and her bedroom ceiling is caving in to the point where it’s eaten up half of her wall. it’s been a month since she reported that to the complex emergency maintenance and corporate, but anyway. these men living in the unit above her have been breaking and entering peoples apartments, sometimes just walking in when they realize it’s unlocked and claiming to not know where THEIR apartment is (I call bs they’ve lived here a few months). these are also the same men that have been caught trying to break into the residents cars. while everything went down yesterday, the ladies from the office actually came down here and told the residents that their hands were tied even though a lot of the police presence have been because of them. they know that there are too many people in the apartment but will not do anything so everybody is fearful that they will either get robbed or worse because these people just think it’s okay to do what they’re doing and they’re getting away with it. I have complained about my neighbors down the hall and so have the other people living in the same building because of constant parties and weed smell in the hallway, all of which are done by MINORS. but again, nothing has been done. I’m writing this in the hopes that they see this or it saves someone the headache and extra stress of living here. I don’t enjoy moving but I’d rather do that than stay where management does not care.

My roommate and I have been living at the Papillion Heights Apartments for the last several months, her since this summer, and me since I returned for another year of college. We have had very few problems with the apartment, and when we need something fixed, we call and the maintenance man has come quickly and taken care of the problem. The apartments are pretty quiet, we can occasionally hear the neighbors' dogs, but it has never been an issue for us. We love how close it is to the shopping centers and downtown, as well as Walnut Creek. The pool is small, but not too bad. The price for the size of the apartment is also pretty good, although my roommate does have a rather small room. The kitchen is great. We have never really had a problem with the parking, management, or in any other area, it has been a great renting experience. I believe over the last year there has been some changes in management, which may be the reason we have had a good time there, unlike the other reviewer. I would definitely suggest this apartment complex, and have to several of my friends. If I were not graduating this year, I would certainly plan to stay here longer.

This place is not worth the trouble. You can get much better for the money. It took us 1.5 years and new management/threatening legal action, to get new carpet after the pipes burst and flooded into the apartment. There is a mold problem in all the basement apartments from prolonged water damage. Parking is inadequate, there are not enough spaces for everyone living here let alone any guests. A lot of cars get towed from the lot, usually costing $225 to get your car back. They raise the rents every year but provide nothing in return for doing so. One resident complained enough so they get "special" parking because the hanidcapped parking was 10 feet from their walkway. While her son continually parks in the handicap spot as well. Adding even more trouble to an already over populated parking area. This same tenant has harrassed other renters for years and somehow continues to get away with it. Good luck getting your laundry done in the laundry facility. There are three washers and dryers per building. There is always one of each broke down in each room leaving two for each building. Which are constantly in use. There is also a unit deemed unfit for occupancy. Many other would be also, if they were all inspected for mold and such.
