These guys charge a lot for a firm where there isn't a CFP (certified financial planner) on the staff.  When your claim to fame is an AIF or CIMA designation, you shouldn't  be charging 1%-1.5% annually of assets held.  Before you put any money with this firm, I would strongly recommend interviewing a couple of CFP's who at least have a fiduciary responsibility to you the client. You can get much better service and transparency from other firms at much lower cost.    If you don't know what a fiduciary is, then you need to do more research..........
