The Park Place Hotel in Traverse City is a nice, clean, accessible hotel that works great as a base of operations when visiting Traverse City. The rooms are comfortable and clean, though not exactly luxurious or opulent. The location is nice and close to downtown but has a large parking lot great for those traveling by car. All of the restaurants and breweries downtown are a short walk away. If your plans involve more time in the city than in your room, it’s a perfect hotel.

We were staying in the addition section off the west side of the main tower. It has somewhat dated fixtures in the bathroom (commercial style toilet, no fan in the shower/toilet). They were also noisy. Every time someone flushes or turns on the water they would clank. The heating/cooking system is also a bit clunky. Big knob for fan speed and slider for temp which were independent from each other (adjusting the temp slider without turning up the fan did not deliver the expected temperature). Apart from that, the front desk staff were helpful and courteous every time I spoke with them. The maintenance was prompt and effective, the room was clean and had the normal amenities (mini fridge, microwave, tv, desk, table, chairs, beds).

Love this historic hotel. I had beautiful views from my room and the bar on the top floor was worth checking out. The food served at the event was also great.

Love that this hotel is pet friendly (have to reserve pet friendly room and pay an additional charge of $20 per night). The staff have all been extremely hospitable and helpful with everything we've needed so far. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the hotel is in walking distance of many great restaurants. Will be using this hotel when we return to Traverse City.

Very outdated hotel. They don’t clean there room unless you ask. When you ask they act annoyed that you want your room cleaned and new towels.  That’s if they even answer the phone to the front desk. They strangely ration toilet paper and they don’t like give you an entire roll. The bathroom is really old and small.  The only good thing is the location.
