Fine lot for park and ride or to access the Quarry trail early in the season. There are a couple of new trails that start along the north side as well, which lead to some nice granite bouldering and climbing areas.

This park is OUR park. We love the giant boulders that can be walked to. The hikes are not strenuous but challenging enough that they are fun. Climbing the actual boulders is the highlight though. The views from the rocks are unparalleled and we like to watch the sunset here. We have never been crowded or even seen others trying to access our rocks at the time we are there. 5 stars

As far as parking lots go...well gee golly let me tell you, this takes the cake. There's never really any cars here, because quite frankly, it's in the middle of nowhere. It's clean, because honestly, there's really nobody around to litter. It's smack in the middle of Little Cottonwood Canyon, and a prime place to park, to go hiking, smoke pot in the forest, and end your life if that's your sort of thing. I was there for a service project helping rebuild the trails, but hey, to each their own.
