World class library. Friendly associates. Simply perfect

New to the area and was looking for a place where I could do some hw and print some very important papers. Walked in and asked for help at the information desk and the woman ignored me. I was very polite I greeted her and asked her for help. She basically refused to help me until an older woman approached. She then started to speak very disrespectfully. I kept my composure and another staff member came over and helped me. The only reason I give 2 is because of that older woman who came to assist me. As I was leaving, I had one more question about library cards and I asked a man who settled at the desk and he just was as rude as the lady when I arrived. Once again the older woman came over and assisted me. I doubt I will ever go back. There are too many people who need and want to work, why hire people who clearly do not.

Lots of traffic and noise for a library but staff are very friendly and helpful

Smallest library in the District of Columbia Public Library System. Equipped with an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, if you need help navigating the D.C. library system they are certainly more than able to assist. Also, this library is a good place for persons in the neighborhood to come and work for a short while, having both tables for children and adults to work from, fast wifi and a bevy of computers available for use. However, teens loiter in this library and are typically quite loud and disruptive and the computer terminals are typical very busy all throughout the day. Additionally, there are no study rooms or private desks. However, for its size and the area, it is a great resource that truly serves its community.
