Having a hard time writing this review, it's a nice place to live, the renovations are well done and the location is great. Although, there is no amenities such as a pool or fitness center. Also, they have a rodent problem. Had a rat in my apt three times and my neighbors told me they did too.

I am writing this review not to be nasty or negative, but to protect those who are thinking about moving into these "newly renovated" apartments. The renovations are poorly done to start with. You will continuously lose water and electricity to your apartment because maintenance is doing renovations and do not warn you that they will be doing so. Then you have to worry about the bug infestation which includes cock roaches, bed bugs and some other sorts that make it through the craftsman ship of the renovations done to the windows in all walls of the apartment. Next is the rodent issue which from my understanding they do an initial spray for rodents and bugs and the rest is up to you. The wall air condition is not large enough to cool the entire apartment and the heater is not in your control. They use the heater in the bottom units to warm the upstairs units.... so prepare to sweat your ass off the entire year around if you move in. I personally have had bites to my arms and legs and thats after management called in "professionals" to spray the unit for bugs and rodents. My kids couldn't even crawl on the ground or be on the floor because of how disgusted I was with all bugs and mice droppings. I am an avid cleaner and keep an extremely proper house but that did not protect us from the bites and mice... please do not waste your time or money to these people. They do not help when there is an issue they treat as if you are bothering them and that's when you can actually get in contact with management or "maintenance". The bed bugs are all over the laundry mat in the flooded basements they provide for the unit so do not wash your clothes there. This is not a place to live it's a place to tolerate and be uncomfortable in.

Don't know why people are saying there is a bug "infestation" here. They brought professionals in to all the units and made sure there were no bed bugs, if any apartments came up "infested" that's the tenants fault and they took care of it! All my needs have always been met here. They even re-spraypainted my assigned parking spot for me when I asked so my number was more visible. There's an office here everyday with someone that can help you and maintenance lives on site for any emergency situations and works here everyday. Sounds like someone may be bitter?? Who knows. Also-- I've never seen ANY rodents. Probably because they take precautions and send professionals in! Great place to live!! Close to everything :)

As a new resident to Glen Ellyn, I am pleased that Parkside Apartments is so conveniently located to many shopping areas, restaurants, parks, etc. Not to mention highway access is nearby, which is a deal breaker for me. My unit itself has brand new cabinets, flooring, safety lock windows, granite counter tops and brand new appliances. My bathroom is also completely remodeled. I do appreciate my assigned parking spot, as it will always be there when I get home. The property manager does his do diligence at keeping the property clean and enforcing a code of respect among tenants. Parkside will continue to grow and expand to an even better community.

I have been living at Parkside for almost a year now. I moved into an apartment that was fully renovated and everything inside was new. Since I have been living here, the current complex manager has been working hard to make the residence a better place for everybody living there. The landscaping has improved 100% since I have been here and it is getting better as more planting and outside improvements are being made. I would not be signing a new lease if the things in some of the negative reviews were true. Is Parkside 100% perfect? No, but if anybody reading this finds a place that is 100% perfect for everybody let me know and I will refer you to my Shrink for help.
