Welcome to our Page!
Dr. Showers attended Univ. of Michigan School of Dentistry and got a dental degree in 1986 and his specialty degree in 1992. He practiced as a general dentist for six years in his hometown of Monroe, Michigan.
He came to Libertyville and established his practice in 1994. He loves educating people and giving them the correct information of root canal therapy. Their comfort is what is important.

As a staple in the city of Liberyville, his generosity and caring extends past the Dentist office and touches multiple areas of the community. People always come first!
If hes not helping patients, you will find him volunteering his time in the forest preserve caring about nature.

I had a root canal done. Went in several months later to my dentist. She rinsed my mouth out with cold water, and I went through the roof with pain in the canaled tooth. There was supposed to be no pain - a "dead tooth". My dentist had taken x-rays and showed me what exactly was going on. I eventually had to have four teeth pulled in order to get braces, to fix my problem which started with his root canal. Now he is threatening to send me to collections! I have no idea how he has so many good reviews! Not to mention his receptionist (older lady) is terrifyingly nasty and rude! Please note- when he replied to Michael Perez's review - he reviewed himself at a 5 star rating to counter his poor rating received by a valid patient. My last name is spanish too, Michael - I wonder if that has something to do with it. hmmmmmm.

Doctor Showers is a great doctor. I had never had a root canal before and was a little nervous. He took the time to talk to me about the procedure and what to expect during and after. The whole thing was painless! The doctor even called the next day to check on me to make sure I wasn't in any pain. His office staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend going with Doctor Showers if you ever need a root canal!

I have gone to Dr. Showers office numerous times in the last year and just want to say he was great. I was scared to get the shots but he talked to me and calmed me down. I didnt even feel the shot when he did it. He talked to me while doing my procedures. He was very professional and funny too. He also fit me in when I had an emergency. His staff is very nice and polite too. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing root canals done.

Michael Perez, You must recall we spoke after your wife's visit. I explained to you everything that we did and how things ended. You certainly can't complain about cost. I made recommendations to you and your wife's dentist about how you could move forward. We have treated thousands of children and anxious adults kindly and considerately for over twenty years. I am sure that patients will continue to put their trust in the endorsements of dentists who have worked with me for years.

Ridiculous...they treated my wife like she was not even human, and actually kicked her out. She was getting a root canal and she is highly sensitive to pain as she kindly explained. Then after going through the whole process, taking the novicane shots, the Dr, was rushing and not letting the medicice do its job and proceeded to try and work on her. When she explained she can feel pain, she asked for another shot, and the Dr rudely stated he's not doing this and walked out. My wife was in tears after having to go through all this for nothing. Strongly recommend against using this inconsiderate, impatient DR!!!
