I had a great experience there when I was a model for my niece (I won't share her name) (retaliation). She graduated from the school and usually they hold a party for anyone who graduates, unfortunately they seem to play favorites and my niece left there without any fanfare. My belief is what you do for one you do for all. In the future I will spread the word not to frequent this establishment due to the fact that they are reinforcing what everyone seems to be fighting so hard to eliminate favoritism and bullying. Also I don't even want to give one star but unfortunately you can't post without it.

I've been going here for about 7 years. It's always been great except for today. It always takes hours because they are students. Which I don't mind but Today I go outside after 3 hours to take 5 min break like I've done for 7 years and these RUDE bi**he's that work or go to school there yell all kinds of bs about why I can't be outside. Later, I finish first and I'm waiting for my mother Im waiting in line to use their restroom and another rude b says in a RUDE tone can I help you with something. As if I'm not a client and shouldn't use their restroom. I'm not sure I'll ever go back after these rude c**ts. Not sure if they have new management or what but this is a great way to lose clients. SALON o Greenwich faster better and no rudes snatches

I've been here twice, both times for a cut and color. The first time went well, though it was clear that they do NOT value efficiency. It took 3.25 hours to get my hair done. However, I liked the results so much, and I understand that it is a school, that I made another appointment with the same stylist for 7 weeks later. Side note: I happened to go with a friend who goes there regularly. She walked out that night with BRIGHT and embarrassing orange roots because her stylist did not bleach and tone her hair properly. ( my friend already has blonde hair, she was getting it lightened-- very basic process, and again, one she endures every 6 weeks.) She had to go back the following two days for four hours each time to correct the issue. They tried to make her pay for those corrections, but she put up a huge fight about it. I brushed it off as just getting the bad luck of an experienced stylist... I came in the second time for a refresher of what had already been done the first time-- round layers (an easy cut) and a brightening of my fashion color. I am very easy-going and I kept saying that I would love it, as long as I didn't walk out with green hair. I was also excited because they have a new 2-procedure policy limit so that I don't get stuck there too late! I walked out 3.25 hours later with WET, un-cut and un-styled hair. I had to "pretty please" my way into getting my bangs trimmed because we were approaching the closing time. My stylist's supervisor would not allow her to cut or blow dry my hair. This is, of course, after I'd already paid $86 for a cut and color. As for the color? You guessed it: GREEN. Bottom line: I left this school after over 4 hours with wet, green, un-cut hair. It looks terrible. It was one of those moments where you're so shocked, you don't even know what to do. Unfortunately, I recommend avoiding this place altogether.

I booked an appointment a week in advance and was very excited to have my hair done since I haven't in a very long time. I booked here because I have heard wonderful things from former and current students. Upon arrival I was quietly taken to the back and asked questions about my hair. I made it very clear what I wanted and how I wanted it to look. I asked for it to be blonde and lightened, not light brown and not all one color. Blonde. This is far from what I received. My student hair dresser was very nice and they teacher was also very nice. Im not to sure if I just really do not understand the idea of highlights because they look horrendous. I was at the salon for about 5 hours and left with almost exactly the same hair color I had before I came in. Not to mention they charged me for a second bowl when they only used one. 98 dollars was what I was charged, and for that I did not expect what I got. I left very upset and will not be returninkg to the school.

This school has unrealistic expectations. I have had to do the 7 weeks of core twice now and I'll most likely have to do it again because I couldn't find a model to come in for testing. They tell you they want you to have real world experience, but in the real world you don't have to go out and beg for someone to take a Tuesday off of work just to go into the school for an hour or so. BY THE WAY: the models are gender specific(and if you ask why they never give a reason) They push you to sell product and they make it so everything is much harder than it needs to be. And if you can't do everything their way to the letter, you get punished for it. Also nobody really follows their "be nice" policy. This school is absolutely ridiculous and I hope I'll be able to find somewhere else to attend if possible. As another thing, you get told by teachers that you don't look good enough for the job and I had a friend basically be called ugly because she didn't wear makeup every day. Tell me how that's following the be nice policy. And the teachers will ask you if everything is alright with you and before you really even get to answer they make it about themselves. This is all extremely unfortunate and Richard Silva, you have described the school down to a tee.
