Story

Make us your pets home away from home!

What can you expect from your pets' stay?
We make staying with us as easy as possible by providing everything your pet will need during their stay. We have bowls, food (Pedigree, Purina Cat Chow), treats (Milkbones), toys, beds and blankets at no extra charge. If your pet has a food preference or a special toy or bed we encourage you to bring any items that will make them feel right at home. All we need from you is proof of vaccines from your pets' veterinarian, their leash, and any special need items (ie medication). Each day your pet will get 1-on-1 love and affection with walks and playtime. At this time we don't offer group playtime. All areas are cleaned and sanitized daily to ensure your pet is not only happy but clean and safe as well. We do our very best to make sure every pet is happy and comfortable during their stay so don't hesitate to let us know anything we can do to make sure this happens. Since we know dogs can get into all kinds of messes while playing we offer baths and nail trims as part of their visit. Just ask any of our staff at drop off and your pet will be clean and ready to go home when you pick up.

We have boarded our dog here multiple times over the last 4 years. Great staff who really cares about animals. My dog always comes home healthy and happy.

We went on vacation last summer in Mystic, and boarded our Jack Russell Terrier there. The owner was extremely knowledgeable on dog behavior, and talked with us for about 45 minutes about our dog. His tips really helped us with our Jack Russell. On the last day of our trip, we were going to be about an hour late picking up our dog, so we called ahead, and the owner kept the kennel open until we got there. He did not charge us any extra. He was a great guy. I highly recommend Paws Place to anyone.

I took my German Shepherd to this facility and I was not at all satisfied. The price is not bad, but the condition of the facility is terrible. I picked my dog up after only two nights and he not only smelled terrible (which really wasn't that big of a deal), but he was extremely nervous and wouldn't go near anyone. My dog has never had a problem with accidents, and when I went to go pick him up there was feces all inside his kennel. Which really makes me wonder if they let him outside, and why no one cleaned it up. I had to throw away all his toys and treats because they smelled terrible, and I didn't trust the cleanliness of them. All of this is nothing compared to the terrible case of kennel cough we found out our dog had gotten from this kennel. It breaks my heart to see him have his little coughing fits because I feel like it's my fault. It really makes me not want to take my dog to any other kennel again, especially if things like this are going to happen. So in my opinion, I would not take my dog back to this kennel and I will not recommend it to ANYONE. I will actually discourage people from going there.
