I have shopped here for more than 30 yrs. My husband and I have been talking about how bare the shelves have been lately. and the last 2 ,times there have been no shopping carts. So I waited while they brought some in. I then proceeded to get my groceries. When I went to the checkout, they wete so backed up I waited and waited again. Finally I got my groceries loaded on to the belt. And the gentleman began ringing them up. And as luck would have it. the girl who was bagging the groceries for the lady in front of me was gone! Guess she had to go get more carts. Therefore I proceeded to bag my own groceries. Guess what? No one ever did show up to bag my groceries. Guess who bagged every one of the $150.00 worth? Yep you guessed it! ,Not sure I can make another trip like that. I have a lot of problems with my neck and shoulders anyway. I do hope improvements can be made. I really do.enjoy shopping there, it is close to our home. and we know a lot of your employees. Thank you for any improvements you can make.

We stopped in for variety of items
We had home out of our way to go to this Payless by the Tippecanoe mall 
The store itself is clean and bright not too busy at 4pm
Our visit was disappointing at the checkout
There was a customer in front of us who was rudely overlooked for checkout while the checker proceeds to check out a friend before going back and checking out the man who was due next. We. Then were checked out and couldn't  understand a word the checker mumbled to us we completed the transaction. We may not be back to this store  employees need to be aware that each encounter with customers reflects on the whole visit

There was only one checkout open and Savannahs was working double time to get the customers checked out as quickly as possible with a really great attitude and pleasant demeanor. Always have a good experience while shopping at pay less

We usually shop at this store, today I was most impressed.
As we approached checkout we noticed the lines backing up, we weren't the only ones---
As we got in line all line lights came on to open but that's not what's impressive, the impressive part is that they ran out of employees to man all stations so the assistant manager who was in charge came out to bag groceries. I own a business and that's what I would do. Glad to see the get it done attitude.

Payless is great! This store has all the good stuff from produce to packaged foods. It's easy to get in and out, good location right next to the mall, and store feels the most organized and well designed of all the groceries in the city. There's great sales going on all the time. I like browsing the bakery/fresh made stuff. The self checkout works great even for a lot of items. Having a Lafayette Bank & Trust inside the store is really nice too.
