Story

Peachtree Road United Methodist Church is a warm, traditional church in the Buckhead community of Atlanta, Georgia. Hospitality has always been a hallmark of our congregation and we welcome all to worship with us. Our multi-generational membership is committed to outreach in our community, and personal growth through diverse study opportunities. We have a rich history, and continue to create new traditions. Our church is part of the The North Georgia Conference which is a regional body of The United Methodist Church. Every year, historically in June, laity and clergy of the North Georgia Conference gather for business and worship at an event called the North Georgia Annual Conference. Visit www.ngumc.org.

General Conference is the top policy-making body of The United Methodist Church which meets once every four years. The conference can revise church law, as well as adopt resolutions on current moral, social, public policy and economic issues. It also approves plans and budgets for church-wide programs.
