Peekskill and the train station are great. Easy commute to Manhattan with glorious Hudson River views. Peekskill Bay is idyllic and the river side park and river walk are a must do. A few bars, restaurants and a brewery are right near the station, hopefully we'll see more development in the future. Minus one point for the currently shuttered Peekskill Station Depot -- this could be a five star stop if that's redeveloped into something useful for visitors and locals alike!

Same driving distance from West Point as Garrison, but you don't have to ride the train as long. Cheaper and back home sooner. Nice station that is clean and easy to access. Peekskill is a cool little town as well.

Station is nice and clean, that being said the metro north has the worst service of any "modern" rail system.
