Glad there’s more capital one cafe in Manhattan. Relaxed atmosphere with WiFi, meeting rooms first come serve/reserve options soon and water closet. If you’re a capital one member, half priced drinks. Go to cafe for matcha and ginger refresher.Food: 4/5
A bit inconsistent I went to the location in head square, and the drink I ordered which was the honey lavender latte was so amazing!! I went to the location in flatiron and they made it wayyy too sweet!! If you’re visiting the one in flatiron make sure you ask for one pump of syrup I feel like four pumps were added Food: 2/5
Absolutely amazing cafe with excellent drinks, snacks, and seating. Staff were super friendly and gave me a tour of their facility. It was stunning with tons of good space to work. If you are a Capital One cardholder, you can get half of drinks!
Came to the Grand Re-Opening Event on Saturday, May 18. I was so excited for this because I had such a great experience at the 34th St location opening event. Unfortunately, this location needs help with their customer service. My friend and I ordered a drip coffee, which was only offered at half off at this event and not free like the 34th St event. She asked for regular and I asked for decaf for health reasons I can’t drink caffeine. Issue #1: They didn’t offer any decaf on drip coffee. They only had decaf in espresso drinks. I expressed my situation and the unfairness of having to pay more because they didn’t offer decaf for drip. Cashier already seems to have an attitude but appeared to care even less for my situation. I was just going to walk away but another person a man, didn’t get his name, who had been nearby listening spoke up and offered me the espresso drink for free due to this situation. I appreciate the fact and asked for anything as long as it’s decaf with a lot of milk. They gave me an americano. I’ve never had americanos, so I was not aware of how strong it was. Even in decaf form although it didn’t taste like decaf. I quickly went to the barista Matty and expressed this. She, out of all of the workers in the cafe area, seemed to care about my health after I explained why I couldn’t drink the americano. She quickly went to change it for something else I can drink. Issue #2: While waiting for the new drink, the same guy from before walked by and asked me, how my drink was. I once again expressed that I couldn’t drink it and why, at that time he wasn’t aware that Matty was already remaking my drink his response was “at least it was free” and walked away. I was so shocked. So just because a drink is free, it doesn’t matter how that said drink affects my health. I found that to be interesting feedback to a customer. I felt so angry that I quickly wanted to leave but didn’t because I didn’t want to spoil the mood for my friend. Fortunately, Matty returned with my new drink which was amazing and stayed to ensure that this new drink was to my tolerance. I felt that the whole event was a waste of time and majority of the staff there needed training on customer service. Especially some of the people in the bag section, who also had attitudes. Due to this, I personally will NEVER go back to this location again. I would rather go further uptown to the 34th St Cafe before visiting the Union Square Cafe again. Honorable Mention: Ron on the floor was amazing and receptive to hear me out when I went to him about this situation. Ron and Matty were the only two people who didn’t make this whole experience/event horrendous.
I was in the Cafe line waiting for a drink and I met a capital one employee Phoebe, she was amazing, she convince me to open an account with capital one and i was able to 50% off of my beverage. She really made me feel at ease and at home. Great experience! Will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5
Excellent cafe in NYC, is like having a first class airport style lounge right in Manhattan. This is a dream to be able to visit the city and stop by for coffee, snacks, comfortable seating and luxurious restrooms.
Just got here and ordered a drink and was not allowed to use the bathroom because they are closing in 12 minutes. I worked retail for 5 years through high school and college at Nike so perhaps I'm familiar with above and beyond service if that's what you want to call using the bathroom but I think it's absolutely ludicrous to not allow a paying customer to use the restroom because you are closing soon. It feels like the twilight zone. Is this a NY thing? I've never experienced such a thing in my life. If I knew this before hand. I would've NEVER given them my money. Won't be coming here again. Absolute insanity and poor practice towards paying customers. Do better capital one. Do better.
Half price drinks baby!! Went on way to trip and on the way back. Service and coffee were great Both times.Food: 5/5
I just had the most wonderful experience with Edger. He gave me a tour of the space and I felt welcomed. This sense of community is well needed in nyc. Thank you capital one and thank you Edger.Food: 5/5
So far nice cool place, unless a guy snaps your phone from the table and runs while you want tu go to the restroom. The elderly man it happened to is my friend and 93. Otherwise I tried it two times now to get a caramel frappe which is on the menu panel. They didn’t have it. Not last week and not today. Too bad.
