I priced 7 Pella 250 series windows at Lowe's, total cost was $3,200 including labor, tax. The Pella salesman came out and quoted me a price of $5,600 If paid today or $6,100 if i waited, for the exact same windows Lowe's had quoted me $3,200.
The salesman became very agitated when I told him his price was way high and he would not be getting the job. The salesman said that Lowe's was selling me a cheap window. When I corrected him and said it is the same window, Pella 250, He immediately changed tact and said  the cost difference was in the labor, but he refused to break down his cost by material and labor. 
Needless to say that ended his sales call and Lowe's got the job. 
I have been very happy with the quality of Lowe's work and will never consider Pella direct again.
Pella sent my an online survey about my experience. I filled out the survey explaining why the sales call was unsatisfactory, i.e. the conduct of the salesman etc. and the cost difference between Lowe's. It is going on 2 months now since i filled out the survey and Pella has not followed up with me on the survey. Nor do i expect them to.

Dan Bourdeau is a sweetheart! He has been more than kind to our family and always responds quickly to any questions we have.The triple pane Pella window wall he had installed for  us is a thing of beauty which we enjoy each day, and makes our home more beautiful. If Dan says it , consider it done! Five stars Plus!!!

This company is a total fascad. Upfront they treat you like royalty till you pay them. We wanted some minor changes and we had to go through hoops and hurdles to have these changes made. I can't remember the last time I've dealt with such horrible customer service. Instead of working as one team, they work as individual departments that seemingly don't talk to each other, and departments that contradict themselves with different information. After the install, there were many detail problems that had to be dealt with, but they still wanted me to pay them in full. I told them to fix the issues first and then I'll gladly pay you. But instead if doing that, they threatend me with voiding my warranty on the windows till I pay. The drama is so much more longer than this, but I'll stop here. Pella makes great windows, but their service department is a total joke.

We had Pella install windows for us 6 months ago.  The experience was very positive from the start with our Pella salesman (Dan Boudreau), through installation, and even now when we have any questions or needs.  Dan is very helpful, responding quickly to any questions that we may have, and helping us recently for a problem with glass breakage (our fault.)  While the cost for Pella windows is a bit higher, we feel it is worth it for the lifetime warranty and the prompt attention we get from Dan.

Worst experience of my life.  Patio door did not fit even though the salesman and second Pella rep. measured and guarantee proper fitment.  Instead of the patio door fitting my house, they destroyed my home to fit the patio door.  I understand some modifications is needed, but had to cut brick.  They were there and measured, the brick didn't move.  The installers they hire only look out for themselves and do not care.  Installers are outside contractors.  If you have to have Pella, have someone else install. Anyone is better than Pella!  Use Anderson.
