I have been at Anchor Self Storage off an on now for almost 6 years. Chris, the manager, is a great guy and always treats me like family. He has been for helpful in helping me check units out to see which one might work for my needs. Best of all, I really feel like it's the best value around, as I shop each time I need it. I would strongly suggest giving Chris and the folks at Anchor a call.

I find the customer service at Anchor Self Storage to be fantastic! I've been a long-term renter and have found the facility to be clean, secure and well maintained. The management staff is always pleasant and respond super quick to any issues I have. They obviously make an effort to get to know their tenants and keep them happy. Kudos!!

I'm not one to write reviews often, but I feel the need to express the way I was treated as a service to everyone in the Davidson/Cornelius area. This summer I split a storage unit with a friend at Anchor Self Storage in Cornelius. We paid a reasonable amount for the unit and I felt safe leaving my things there for the 3 month break. However, when I returned to school last Friday, I was disgusted to find that my belongings were infested with roaches after being in my storage unit. My friend and I had to go through all of our belongings and clean and wash everything after killing and getting rid of the ridiculous number of roaches. When I went in to let the owners of Anchor Self Storage know about the problem, the man I spoke to did not seem concerned in the least. He simply said it was a "store at your own risk facility" and that if the people's belongings next to ours attracted bugs into our unit there was nothing they could do about it, (even though it explicitly states in my contract that it is the liability of the owners of Anchor Self Storage for any damages caused by insects). I was very upset by the way I was treated being told "I wouldn't come back either girlfriend" by an employee. I did not feel respected as a paying customer or as a person. I do not recommend that anyone uses this storage facility in the future. They were not concerned by the quality of their service or the protection of your belongings. Sorry about this long status, but thank you for taking the time to read it.

Had several pieces of oak furniture recently inherited from my grandmother, after a few months I was called about a "water issue" and told I should check my unit. I arrive and was greeted instead by the usual 1 attendant but by a team of 4 people seemingly there for damage control. 
I took the time to inspect the storage unit & surrounding area and discovered literally INCHES of crap built up in the gutters causing the roof to leak! The team of 4 then told me that I was SOL with all the damage b/c regardless of the reason they claim zero responsibility.  
I fully understand a company trying to limit its liability but when you pay extra for climate control, I kinda expect it to include routine maintenance like cleaning out the gutters at least once a year. Very unhappy with this storage location and the customer service I received!
