Came in to try their Fried Fish,  it wasn't what I expected. The plate was literally tiny coated fish strips. The rice,  if you ever come here you'll know exactly what I'm talking about you can taste the oil for some reason, but we were given complimentary fideo con papas and that was delicious.  Small, cute,  clean place,  very friendly staff. I left a bit disappointed in having high expectations,  but at least I'm letting you know about their fish plate,  my sister was not a fan of it at all either,  she literally didn't eat 75% of her plate so that should say a lot considering she usually leaves her plate empty.  If you guys have any great seafood recommendations please let me know.

Rating 4     First time honest experience, the building is small and diner is a bit crowded you can literally hear your neighbors conversation. Ceilings need replacement I was scared it would fall on someone's food. I Ordered 2 breakfast tacos to go & took 25mins for it not being busy. Lighting fixtures are outdated which is understandable for a older Cafe but a good remodeling would make this place a bit more representable. Outside parking very clean but is minimum/very small so expect that. Restroom is clean & Stocked, Food is delicious & made Fresh listed are pictures of what to expect.

This great place is family run, and you can tell it by the food.  So many flavors, ample portions, great service, fresh-from-scratch dishes. Things start well with their home-made salsa and chips and just keep getting yummier!Food: 5/5

My first visit to Pepe's Cafe and it won't be my last. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. I ordered the Machacado breakfast plate with flour Tortillas. The plate is a type of meat mixed with eggs and other items and comes with refried beans and fried potatoes. A small dish of spicy sauce accompanies it. One word to describe it is "delicious." Price is right too. The breakfast with coffee, very good, was only $10.00. I will be back to visit Pepe's with my wife in the near future.

I'll never get enough of this place!! We've been regulars since they're other location!! We're always treated like family. Food has never once disappointed and I highly recommend their cinnamon roll.  5 stars always!! Owner is amazing!! Tacos are delicious and so are the tortillas!!

The food at Pepe's Cafe has always been delicious. My problem is that I don't know what to get most of the time. Everything is delicious!!

Liked the place, it was busy. They have an extra parking lot on the back. Place was clean, waitress nice and polite. Simple easy to read menu, reasonable prices. Size portions are good, and flavor is good too.

My previous favorite restaurant was Grandma's in Mercedes, but whenever it closed, my family and I went looking. We found Pepe's! The cook is Pepe himself, and he is an amazing chef who cares about taste and presentation. The plates placed before you are so beautiful. Even his quesadillas have an assortment of perfectly cooked yellow and green peppers for aesthetics. All of the dishes I have ordered are out-of-this-world-good. All the waitresses are great too. The only drawbacks are it closes at 5 and know that there is a cash price and a card price.
