We have traveled 1300 miles and just wanted a meal so we could go back to the hotel and sleep. We came in with there being an approximate 6 tables sitting there. Numerous tables came in after us. We ordered an appetizer and 4 meals. After waiting 45 minutes each and every table who had come in after us had already gotten their appetizers and their food. We had not received any. No food. At all. We decided to leave. I went to the front, asked for a manager and when he came out proceeded to make excuses about why we had not gotten any food yet. He never apologized. He just told us he wasn’t going to charge us for our drinks. I am so disappointed in Perkins. I have worked in a restaurant and I understand things happen, but this was ridiculous.

Seated immediately nice server food was hot and tasty! Waiter was willing to go above and beyond for my allergies and very helpful! I will go back tomorrow for breakfast!

I'm very disappointed in the service HERE!  The wait time took forever and they weren't even that busy.  A number of the tables were dirty and the Manager could have helped instead of standing up front all the time.

But when I finally got my food the hamburger was under-cooked.  The FRIES looked like they were a day old...  Yes, they recooked my food for me but it took another hour but the hamburger was burnt this time around but I ate it.  But I'm sorry I did, I felt a little sick the next morning.  I'm done with Perkins

Familiar, homey eatery reminiscent of 70's diner chains. The decor, fixtures, and furniture outdated, and a little tattered around the edges. My booth seat was repaired with good ol' duct tape. The acoustic tile ceilings a bit on the 49th shade of grey... a few tiles are pushed up and cross ways for some reason, I'm thinking ventilation? Long overdue for a serious makeover.
But I came for pie and coffee and what I got, I got good! Apple pie a la mode and that smooth cup of Joe. I've never left disappointed as long as I stuck to the basics.
A couple across from me was not too happy with what they received. I saw the fellow, who looked like he ordered the biscuits and gravy, was visibly upset. He was showing his female companion the subtleties of the effects of oxygen on exposed dough products. He demonstrated how his metal fork could not penetrate the Kevlar quality of his biscuit. He motioned the server to his table, and in muted tones, did his impression of a bullet ricochet off the hide of his biscuit. I heard her apologize profusely as she carted the offending faux dough away. He apparently did not request a replacement.
I looked on in mild amusement, feeling superior in knowing at this Perkins, you don't stray far from the pie road!

Perkins provided excellent service and the food was well prepared and served in a reasonable amount of time. My experience with the host/waiter Alex was exceptional and made me feel at home and comfortable. Thank you Perkins and Alex ;)
