*grooming department*
Came in with out an appointment and they were very accommodating and took my dog in for a grooming. My dog, I know is a handlful so I expected it to take some time. Estimated time of three hours. Got a call back at 1pm. When my pup returned he was very excited and was happy. Taking a closer look to my pups new groom job. I was disappointed. His fur felt dry and not clean. And did not smell fresh and clean. More of less it looked and smelled like he was just sprayed with a dog perfume and rubbed into the back of his neck. Which was noticeable to touch and visually. As well his nails were poorly done. It’s been two days and he smells no different than when I brought him in.

I’m into fish and they have a pretty decent selection of freshwater species to oogle over. Usually decent sales, and the staff is pretty friendly and helpful. I don’t usually prefer buying fish from Petco, but they keep their stock tanks cleaner than another store I’ve been to recently, in another part of the state. Overall I’d say I give my experience 4 stars consistently. I have noticed that their staff turnover is a little high, but that’s the name of the game with corporate pet stores. Big box stores hold monopoly over the industry, and have taken over/pushed out many of the local, family owned stores. But then again we should all know that by now. So I’d say for certain things, this Petco is pretty decent considering. Worth checking out. I can’t speak on the care of their small animals and reptiles, as honestly I don’t usually pay much attention to them, but, if you’re concerned about it then you probably shouldn’t be visiting a big box store to begin with. They usually won’t be as thorough or attentive as the Mom n Pop places, sorry but it’s the truth.

I have brought my Bearded Collie here for about 3 years with great success.  Today, however, there was a new groomer named “Taylor” who told me my dog was “too matted for her blades.”  This has never been an issue in the past.  Honestly, I think she did not want to do the job.  It seemed she decided she could not do it from the moment I walked in.  She did not even offer to give him a bath or clip his nails. This was a very disappointing experience, and I will certainly never return.

the employees tried to misinform my children about how often to feed a fish.  they stopped us in the entry way while we were trying to leave to make sure that we only fed a fish every three days when i know from experience and other aquarium resources that it is twice a day.

Local pet store, but as with any corporate chain, it leaves a lot to be desired. 

There's also an employee here who wears incredibly raggy clothes, smells like cigarettes, claims to be an assistant manager, and bashes his coworkers while ringing customers out at the register.
