I enjoy shopping at Petco and go there for everything for my fish and dog. One thing I would recommend, if you have any specific questions, I would ask if there is an employee working who specializes in the area your question pertains to. All the employees are knowledgeable, there are just some who specialize more in depth about fish and fish care.. puppies and kittens..birds.. employees through they're own personal experiences all have info to share. :)

Prices are a little high and selection is okay. Staff very in knowledge in my experience so sometimes you get conflicting information about product placement or animals sold. My information on this is a little limited I will admit, I have only asked about the location of of fish tank kits i.e. "are these all of the ones you have in stock" "yes" [no more on another isle], fish care ( I got better information from google, I was recommended a smaller tank then was safe for what I was needing it for) and dogs (again google after getting two "I'm not sure" answers). Overall in my experience not thrilled over some of the staff's knowledge base even though most of them are friendly but if you know what you are wanting/needing good place to shop, just google first to be safe.

This particular store is smaller than most, but given that it's in Sandpoint Idaho is no surprise. The staff is fantastic but oftentimes the items shown on the website or not in stock in the store. That being said, this is the best pet store within a hour drive. I wish they could develop a website more like Home Depots which is about 85% accurate as to what is available in the store.

Very friendly and helpful. Had a coupon for $5.00 for a 5 pound bag of car food.  Could only find a 3 pound bag and Tod take the coupon.plus it was marked down $3.00.  Kudos to the staff

Very disappointed with selection and staffing of the fish dept.  mispriced & mislabeled fish and plants both which were less than healthy, the kid working just didn't care if he helped customers or not.  The cashier was nice though.
