More damage than good. I do not recommend Phases. We used Phases for approximately 3 years and experienced a great number of challenges with them. While there were several things they did do right, there were other areas they completely dropped the ball. In an effort to leave out the drama and details, I can summarize that Debbie gave me incorrect advice during a buyout with our old partner. The advice she gave me was that no further paperwork was required to show that I became a 50% shareholder at the time we bought out our previous partner and he left. Her office wrote a letter in 2014 staying that I became a 50% shareholder. Now, in March 2018, 15 months after we dismissed Phases Accounting (due to long standing issues with high staff turnover, underestimating income tax due, invoicing months behind so we owed giant sums all at once, and just sloppiness in general) and 4 years after the original letter stating I WAS a 50% shareholder, Debbie has suddenly popped up and produced a letter stating that I am not a shareholder at all and never was. When I emailed her and asked why she would interfere in a divorce and now business buyout, and assist in a one-sided manner without even informing me, her only response is that I knew all along and she told me I wasn't a shareholder. It's painful to write this review, but at this point I would strongly advise anyone considering Phases to KEEP LOOKING because it's not hard to find an accountant that will work in an honest and dedicated manner to help you protect your business.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This company is commiting FRAUD! We went to Phases to have 2 personal and 1 business filed for 2016. We paid for all 3 up front and were told a extension would be filed for us. It was a large chunk of money. We got back 1 personal and the business and found out the extension was never filed when the IRS sent us a notice and a fee. We dropped off that noticed and never heard back from Phases. I had to go request my other personal taxes. She said there was no need to file as I had no refund. Yet I had paid for that service and wanted to file to track alimony and child support. She finally agreed to file for me like we had paid for. I got back a packet of tax papers claiming they were efiled in October 2017. I thought nothing more of it as I was not expecting a return. This year (2017 Taxes) we were filing all 3 taxes again on our own as when we paid someone we still had to do all the work and she just plugged in the numbers we provided. Our taxes got kicked back due to my 2016 gross income not matching. I called the IRS and they informed me today that no taxes were ever filed for me in 2016. The packet of papers I was given staying they had efiled is fake. This company is a FRAUD do NOT use. I will be reporting them to the IRS like the lady on the phone at the IRS informed me to do so they can stop practicing and stealing from people.

It's been 3 months and my taxes have not been completed. No updates. No explanations, no anything. I have to keep calling back after the deadline is past and ask for explanation. We have been working with Michelle and she is not very informative or helpful.

I was so impressed with the level of service I received on my last year tax preparation I'm going to continue to go with Phases Accounting! The attention to detail and knowledge on all levels was superb. The pricing is reasonable compared to anywhere else. Highly recommend

I've trusted Phases Accounting with my taxes since my first filing, and with my vehicles since my first owned. Their level of attention to detail and integrity is unmatched by most other accountants and mechanics. They will continue to have my and my families business for those reasons.
