Convenient place to have in little Phelps, and a good deal on many things, but of course you can easily overpay for other things if you don't pay attention (or care). But sometimes it's worth it to pay a little more for the convenience, I reckon. I see in their ads that they will do delivery for many things, too, like water softener salt. I've been meaning to give that a try but just never have yet. Staff is always super friendly the few items I've been in there, too.

Great store. Ok prices. Definitely good prices for farm equipment and parts.

From snacks to seeds to screws...this store has a little of everything. They carry Agway feeds, will tune up your lawn mower, and refill your propane tank. The Mercantile has a nice selection of gift items too. They carry a fair bit of hardware, but if you can't find something, the friendly staff can order it in. Don't expect Walmart prices, but having convenient access to what you need is worth paying a little more!
