Garbage company. I had my insurance reaching out saying PHH needed to send the insurance check. I called them and said they need to send a check over to them. They said they sent it there already. Insurance called and said they haven’t received a check. Called PHH for 2 months straight until they realized they sent the check to the wrong insurance after my insurance cancelled my policy because of no payment. After all of that I had to pay $1815 into escrow out of my own pocket to fix their screw up and when I tried doing it over the phone they tried charging me a $17 service fee for their screw up. I can’t wait until I’m done dealing with them.
PHH mortgage lender is the worst lender ever that doesn’t care about their customers.My loan was transferred to them and within the space of three months I was told that I didn’t have enough escrow money in my account.My monthly payment was increased without any clear explanation. This is the worst company ever
Horrible company! We made a payment in advance, it cleared our account & they applied it to the principal instead of making it the monthly payment. We asked them to pull the call because the rep said we would not have a payment until the following month. Then they put on our credit that we were 30+ days late, we asked for a supervisor & they don’t transfer calls to a supervisor, it’s not an allowed request. Who runs a business like this? Horrible horrible horrible company!
If I could give no stars at all I would in a HEARTBEAT! I have had nothing but problems with them. September 2022 I had a drunk driver drive through my house therefore I had an open insurance claim with PHH. Any time I call I have to be darn near screaming before I can get anyone to do their job. I have been trying to schedule my final inspection almost 3 weeks at this point. The house has been completely finished for almost a month now. The contractors are threatening to file a lean on my house if they don't get their money but there is nothing I can do on my end expect call repeatedly. This week alone I have called 4 times. I was told Monday they would put an expedite request in and that it would take 2 business days. I called again on Wednesday and they said to give them one more day. I called Thursday evening since I yet again did not receive a call from anyone. I FINALLY got ahold of a representative name Shirley. She was the only person that seemed willing to help me and I was told to give it until the end of the day to receive a phone call and if I don't receive one by then to hold off until Friday morning. She also told she would follow up with me Friday at 2:30pm to make sure everything was handled. When I called Thursday I spoke with a woman who told me she would put in an expedite request and I said obviously that doesn't do anything because that is what I was told on Monday and here we are. She then proceeded to tell me that this certain kind of expedite was different and that it's called an "expedite expedite". At that point I lost it and asked to speak with a manager. I was on hold for 40 mins to talk to someone. This place is a joke. Absolutely ridiculous, GO THROUGH ANYBODY else. Update: It is 2:39pm and I still have not received a phone call and I'm on hold waiting to see if someone from the resolutions team is even available, up to 29 minutes and counting. Ended up speaking to a woman named Monica and by the time she took me off of hold we were on a 3 way phone call with Altisource the inspection company I was then advised that there was no open claim on their end for my house. What a joke
I have never had a problem with PHH. We use the online portal to pay our mortgage and our payment always goes through. I’ve never needed to call their office for anything because you can do pretty much everything you need to do online. Our interest rate is reasonable and our escrow account is accurate. I suppose my only annoyance with them was periodically calling me with marketing/refinance options, but they took me off their call list when requested.
I have had many mortgage companies over the years and this place is the only place I’ve ever had any problems and I feel like I’ve had enough for a lifetime. They canceled my homeowners insurance because they wanted me to buy theirs, while still billing me the same as if my insurance wasn’t canceled. Where did the extra money go? Tried many times and can’t get a human on the phone. Even my insurance company said they were sending documentation to them with no answer. If your loan gets sold to these scammers then immediately look into getting a new loan with anyone else.
I cannot believe how inept this organization is. I've had mortgages through multiple lenders before, but PHH is the worst. Their web site is weak and even enrolling in Auto pay is ridiculous. I've been trying for months to have them auto draft my mortgage payment on the 15th of the month, so I can pay my mortgage 15 days ahead of the due date. They will not take this payment because they claim it's not due for another 2 weeks and want to draft the payment on the 15th of the next month. So the payment is due on the 1st, but they won't take the payment until the 15th. This is completely broken. I've never had a lender refuse to take my money ahead of time. When you call customer service you get the runaround and they argue with you instead of helping. I would NEVER go through PHH for another mortgage.
PPH Mortgage's paperwork reads, if you send a mortgage payoff payment by personal check, it will be returned. Well, I submitted the payoff amount by personal check and then by wire the next day. Both payments cleared my checking account on 4-30-19. I still have not received a refund of the over payment as of 5-28-19. Where's my money!!!
Sold my mortgage to another servicer after my first payment was received, failed to forward the payment to the new company. Three months later and now they say they can’t even find my payment! $2000 out the window! When I call them to work this out I’m on hold for over an hour before they answer and when they do I have to start the explanation over from the beginning! Worst customer service ever, and I e had to deal with CenturyLink!
