Four stars for the Snorkeling, two for the park. Snorkeling is great here. Make sure you go at high tide, or close to it , when the water is clear. If you go at low tide the water is murky and you can't find the sites under water. The morning crowd seems to be a bit tamer, in my experience. We've visited several times. In the morning the crowd has always been divers and families. When we went in the evening there were quit a few shady people blaring rap music, cussing and drinking. Also there was a noticeable homeless presence. Watch out for trash under the bridge. Wear shoes! The bathrooms are downright disgusting. Don't plan on changing here, come in your swimsuit and be ready to go home wet. Seriously. There were soaked and nasty pads and diapers on the floor, no toilet paper in any of the stalls, and the entire place reeked of urine. Just don't.

Nice park but can get pretty busy at times. Vagrants don't bother me but inconsiderate boaters abound. Don't forget to get an annual parking pass for your trailer or pay electronically for the day. I've seen lots of starfish, an octopus, stingray and even a long spine urchin just walking around.

My favorite spot to snorkel. The variety of life here is amazing. Get there about 1.5 hrs before high tide. Parking can be difficult to find at times. On Sundays, when the bank is closed, you can safely park down the road (first stoplight east of the park entrance) at wells fargo. I've done so many times with no issues.

Good spot for casual fishing or BBQ. Offers public restroom, pier for fishing, small park and beach area for kids to play, boat ramp and some decent snorkeling and scuba experience.

I give this place 5 stars only when the tide is right--come about an hour before high tide and this is one of the best scuba diving/snorkeling spots around!!! I've never seen so many cushion starfish!! Eels, stingrays, lobsters, shrimp, and obviously all kinds of beautiful fish. And I haven't seen but heard there are octopus and seahorses! Parking is free and there's a walkable dive shop, which is awesome.... But, the lil beach here is kinda dirty, I mean, it IS under a bridge literally. And the water is pretty murky other than around high tide.
