I was very surprised to see such a nasty review of Phil's Appliances. His service was referred to me by very satisfied customers when we moved to this area in 1988. Over the years, we have depended on Phil for repairs to many, many appliances. He is always prompt, curteous, tidy, kind to the children, knowledgeable and frugal. He holds a high value on repairing when possible and not being wasteful. On the other hand, I can always count on him to pronounce sentence when necessary on an appliance that is not worth repairing. Above all, Phil has integrity and honesty, and has demonstrated this consistently to us for 28 years.

Wow, I am surprised that when looking on a Google maps that a review such as this would pop up. Considering that my company was never contacted to respond to this is remark is unbelievable. I do remember this service call very well. The customer had a Whirlpool wall oven and a dishwasher that needed repair. The oven needed a safety thermostat. I had to remove the oven from the installation to diagnose. I ordered the needed part and when I received it a few days later, I removed the oven and installed the part. A few days later the customer called and stated that the oven went out again after cleaning. I informed her that I would reorder another thermostat and give her a call when the part came in. Her husband was very up set and he called and left a threatening message on my phone. He insisted that I refund all of the money that they had given me for the oven and dishwasher repair and that he expected me to repair the oven for him at no charge. He also stated that if I didn't agree that he knew where I lived and that I would be sorry. It just so happened that my wife herd the message and she was very upset. I then returned the money he had spent for the labor on his oven and the new part and informed him that I would not now or in the future do any work for him. He then proceeded to write the bad review. Having run my business for over Forty Two years, I have never had a customer with such a bad attitude. Phil Phil's Home Appliance Repair

Stay away from this company or gentleman. They don't stand behind their work and have no problem charging you a fortune and not correcting the problem. Very friendly at first but that is it.
