This office is the hell of the dental world. One Asian receptionist was annoyed that I had to come in for a follow up, gave me a dirty stare. Dr Hung sucks, doesn't care about the pain your in and will not give you anything for pain. He was mad I came in because I was in pain...I had a dry socket!!! "You gotta deal with pain" he said. My bone was exposed after extraction, I wanted to knock his ass out for saying that. Do not trust this quack dentist, who should lose license for being a morale hazard with his carelessness to clients issues.

If you live/work near 20th and Market and your insurance covers it, you have to go here. Friendly staff, clean, and efficient. Just got a cavity filled in less than 15 minutes. Dentist is quick and thorough. They are committed to keeping your teeth and gums healthy.

Fraud or Incompetent: I had been going to a family dentist for as long as I can remember, but wanted a Philly based dentist so I didn’t have to travel to the burbs. After a quick search I found Philadelphia Dental Associates online. They took me the day I called. The receptionists were friendly and made it very easy to make the appointment. The hygienist was friendly and gentle during the cleaning. However, at the end of the cleaning the dentist (Hong or Cho) told me I had three cavities and recommended removing my three wisdom teeth. WTF! At thirty years old I’ve only had three cavities my entire life (when I was a kid) and my wisdom teeth have been “in” for years without causing any problems. Now…I have waited seven months to post this review, because I wanted to make sure I wasn’t overreacting. I went back to my old family dentist this morning and after a full cleaning and x-rays reported to me that I was completely clean. If any of the three alleged cavities had existed six months ago, surely they would’ve been much worse now. This drill-happy practice is either fraudulent or incompetent and I refuse to tolerate or patronize their practice. Lesson be learned: if you have found a dentist or doctor that you trust, the commute doesn’t matter, it’s worth it to stay with them.

It was a very easy going experience. Staff greeted me with a smile, took me back to the chair right on time, very friendly hygienist thoroughly cleaned my teeth, then the doctor came in and greeted me with a smile and thoroughly examined my teeth and looked over my full mouth x-ray. I had three cavities so he asked me if I wanted to stick around to take care of them which I agreed. He took me to his chair and very carefully and gently numbed me up. I was very surprised that needle part was nos as uncomfortable as I expected and METICULOUSLY took care of my fillings. He was so efficient and made me feel so comfortable. It was one of the best dental experiences I ever had. I think I found the dentist who I can call, "MY dentist".
