Everything is made to order. I ordered the lunch special, two steak egg rolls and some fries. The meat is very seasoned and tender, it's not dry or over doing it. The only thing that I don't like don't mean you will not is the dipping sauce, other than that the food is good, and I will be backFood: 5/5
Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak 12 inch sub with grilled onions and jalapenos and cheese mixed into the meat. One of the best Cheesesteak subs I have had in awhile. Tired of driving all the way up to another Cheesesteak place in Newport News. This is much closer and quality is as good if not better and quantity of meat was better. Philly Cheesesteak Cafe is where to get one in Hampton. Girl at the counter was sweet and said she forgave me for wearing my Baltimore Ravens hat into the store. Straight Eagles fan. Told her I was sorry for her about her choices in life! Go Ravens!!!
I come here whenever I want a Philly cheesesteak and nothing seems to compare to these delicious sandwiches. I liked how the food was packed and prepared. Nothing leaked. The cashier was attentive and was helpful at explaining the food. My food came as it was ordered. The sandwiches were not soggy but were made pretty and ready for me to lift out of the container. The wings were well coated in sauce and in the container lined to prevent leaking. If you like your wings cooked hard, you will like them here. The fried fish was well seasoned and crispy and the fries were crispy both in containers lined to prevent leaking.
I have ordered from this establishment a few timed and this was by far the worst. The cheesesteak egg roll was sooo greasy, omgoodness the bag my order was placed in could have fried chicken in it. The order of fries looked and tasted like they were scrapes from all the other fry orders. The egg was wrapped in foil and placed in the bag to leak grease everywhere. Order placed through UberEats, so not sure if my missing eggroll was kept in the container they usually put them in or it was just placed in bag. Very disappointed .
The customer service I received was good and welcoming. The pricing display of their food options could be much better. They have food combo pics on their wall but no prices on them. I tried the Philly Cheesesteak Combo which comes with the sub, 5pc whole wing, fries, and a cheesesteak egg roll for $25. It should come with a drink for that price. I like that they have flavor options for their wings. I chose lemon pepper. I could have used a little bit more lemon pepper to get that taste with each bite. The egg roll was really good and full. They also have chicken egg rolls if you don't want steak. They have this sauce that goes with the roll. It is tasty and a little spicy. The French fries were crunchy but had no salt on them so they were really dry, had to use ketchup. Now for the sub... It was really good. No complaints there. Overall it's a decent restaurant.
Tried for the first time and was very pleased! Sandwich was full and nicely made. Fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly. Will definitely visit again when I'm in VA!! Staff was wonderful!
being a first time customer, and being a Philly cheesesteak enjoyer, I was looking forward to this but the food was subpar at most. I paid extra for mushrooms and green peppers with none in sight. A whole sandwich was 15$ and that included the steak, cheese and lettuce but they charged me for the lettuce Plus a 12% "meat tax", if you want tomatoes, onions and anything else, its 30 cents extra. The service felt like I was taking time out of their day. If the sandwich was at least decent, I would have gone on my day.
I was craving a good cheesesteak and found this little place. I cannot knock the cheesesteak itself as I was pleased. However, the cashier had no personality and was not outgoing at all. Just a body on a seat playing with her phone. The spot is small and can now understand why most only do pick up orders. This was a one shot try for me as there are many other options nearby.
Came on 9/11 for food at 11 when they open.. waited until 11:15 and no one had arrived so my party of 5 went to Straight Out of Philly 10 minutes up the road. Better service and a really great cheesesteak from a competitor that opens on timeService: 1/5
Food was not tasteful as everyone made it seem, the egg rolls was dry and they didn’t have nothing but cheese in it. I tasted better Philly cheese at corner stores. Bread and topping was fresh but the over all taste was basic. I’m a foodie and with a name Philly Cheesesteak Cafe, it could be better.Food: 1/5
