Service was absolutely terrible. The guy cooking and taking the orders wrote nothing down and had to ask the same question multiple times. Ordered a cheese steak with peppers, fries, a chicken Caesar wrap, and wings. The cheese steak was dry and they forgot the peppers. The wrap was extremely greasy to the point my girlfriend couldn’t eat the rest. The chicken wings were not chicken. I honestly have no idea what they were but from the look of them, they were not chicken and didn’t taste like chicken. Ended up throwing out the wings and rest of the wrap. The fries were the only thing we were able to eat. Just overall a very poor experience
Just stopped in and discovered new owners had taken over just two days prior. It seemed brighter and the staff was happy to take my order. The signature steak was as good as I remember and the prices did not seem to have risen much under new owners. Been getting protein fixes here for almost a quarter century. Still works. Good luck Philly!
This place had super good food that was also good the next day and the people there were super friendly and helpful. However the store was kind of greasy which comes with the territory for steak sandwiches definitely worth the visit regardless. This is a very authentic Philly cheese steak available here in Rochester.Food: 5/5
Tried Philly Steakout after seeing it was under new ownership. Glad I did. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and the Lemon Pepper Sandwiches. Both were excellent. More chicken - fresh chicken - not frozen. The staff was friendly and the place clean.
Was in Roc today looking for some place different to eat than typical chains. Menu looked good, and who doesn’t like cheesesteaks? Place wasn’t much to look at from outside, and seeing “under new ownership” makes one hesitate sometimes … but the food? Amazing. Definitely will go back and get some more sandwiches here. I got the Buffalo steak and my bf got a regular Philly, and a steak plate for later. Great portion for the price, on point flavor. Very friendly and ready to help staff. Ranks right up in my top 3 with Macs in Victor and Gino’s in Fayetteville.
Great food with past owner and even better with new. Philly cheese steak was exceptional, seasoning on the steak was spot on. Most authentic Philly I've had in Rochester.Food: 5/5
"New ownership" apparently means screw up the order and don't fess up to it. Paid $20 for a cheesesteak with wizz and extra wizz on the side. Received one with with bbq sauce, called, they claim my husband asked for A1. I was there when he ordered. Liars. Never again.
Had my first experience at Philly Steakout under the new ownership. I actually was greeted by the owner walking in and on top of them being nice and outgoing I was impressed by the sandwich to say the least. The cheesesteak was made with ribeye meat and was outstanding, the quality was the best in Rochester by far and I will without a doubt be back regularly. Definitely check them out!
Cheese steak sub no flavor hardly any meat. I loved it when they first opened years ago. All downhill after that. Waste of my moneyFood: 1/5
This was the first time that I have been here and saw that the restaurant was under new ownership. The classic Philly was amazing and the atmosphere/people were super friendly!Food: 5/5
