We frequent this place often, and not just for the pho... but this time, I brought the kids. They really enjoyed their meals . I ordered the Tofu noodle bowl- The kids ordered: -chicken teriyaki -spicy beef -chicken curry Despite getting her order wrong, and having to wait for it to arrive, my niece still enjoyed the flavor and rated her meal -5 stars. It was busy, so I could see the bus boy a little overwhelmed, cause our chair had noodles on it and it just didn't feel as clean. However, I did appreciate that we were in and out in about an hour. Vegetarian options: I do like the bun tofu Kid-friendliness: There are high chairs available Parking: The spots up front aren't always vacant, but there is an entire lot Wheelchair accessibility: Right up front.
This used to be my go to spot in Federal way for both teriyaki and pho. I ordered a banh mi and it was terrible. I don't say that lightly either. I have had a lot of these around at different spots including Oh's sandwiches in West Seattle which is amazing and this was the worst sadly. It had zero sauce besides the tiny bit of grease that came off the meat, and the veggies were soggy instead of crunchy and fresh. The service was very slow too despite them not being busy at the time. Overall, my past few experiences here have proven that their service and quality has devolved since Covid.
Yen that works here is so rude every single time we come in she is there and she just has a nasty chip on her shoulder. Our food does not come at the same time! I’m talking 7-10 wait between our orders! Their food is good but that lady Yen just makes it so uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I see she’s rude and short with a lot of customers.
Pho was surprisingly good now. Broth has gotten much better since last time I was here. Like everyone else, yes the customer service is pretty bad. Never came back to check on us once our food was brought to us. No refills on waters and had to get to-go boxes ourselves.
Eaten here several times and have personally never felt like it was up to par, you can tell all of the food is cooked before hand and stored in tubs, unless you get the pho your food comes out cold and dry. They’ve been shut down for health code violations before and I see why, I had shrimp mixed in with my chicken the last and final time I ate here. And it seems like no restaurants even wipe down their high chairs anymore.. absolutely disgusting.
Their customer service is horrible one of them is on the phone talking to her friend and laughing the other one doesn’t even say hi welcome in he just looks at you and then there was a awkward silence lol and I said I have a to go order I would like to order then I ordered and he said it’s a 20 minute wait which was fine because I walked in and ordered I guess if it takes that long normally all the workers seem stressed out and tired not friendly at all I’m sure it has to do with management of course I got a vegetable pho it wasn’t the greatest it was OK But they could do much better I’m probably going to find a new place to go to I’ve only been to this one a couple times and it’s been poor customer service I have to drive all the way to Burien now I guess to get some good pho Oh and their lettuce was all brown you can see it in the salad I took a picture of it that came with my son’s teriyaki chicken for 1299
Today's experience was not even close. Barely a 2 and only because it's a cumulative score from other visits. Ordered the spring rolls and pho with brisket and tendon. The spring rolls themselves were good. The peanut sauce was way too thick and too sweet. The pho was a disaster. Bland is an understatement. The broth had no flavor and you could feel the starch in the broth from the noodles, which were still hard by the way. Added soy sauce and my peanut sauce but it didn't help. Pho is all about the broth people!! The brisket texture was unexplainable. Grainy is the only word that comes to mind and not one that's used to describe brisket. The tendon was all over the place. Some soft and gelatinous, others chewy. They did a good job on the COVID cleaning protocols though. I've been here a few times before and have ordered other things that were better but today, not sure what happened. Not sure if I'll be going back. There are other locations that are better.
I was impressed with how fast our food arrived and how delicious it was. I 1000% recommend the spicy mushroom chicken teriyaki and the yakisoba I had beef. It was a very busy Sunday, but the team did a great job of taking care of our needs. The price was totally worth it for all that we ordered. We got full and still had extras to take home. We will definitely be back.
Honestly, food wasn’t bad but the service….most everyone was rude. A waitress cut off my question by saying “no we don’t” before I even finished. This was my first interaction with her. I have a food allergy and was asking about a modification. I have never seen that service behavior in 30+ years. Astounding. Like I get being at work sucks, especially during the holidays, but cmon… Edit: reading the other reviews, it feels like we are all talking about the same waitress…
