At Pho 99 we created a family friendly atmosphere serving traditional Vietnamese beef noodle soups and grills ^.^
Beef, the star ingredient of Pho, appeared in the North Vietnamese rice noodle soup in the mid 1900s when it sailed across the Atlantic with the French colonists. After the war, the south Vietnamese enhanced the northern recipes with use of local vegetables, herbs such as basil, ginger, and anise to enhance that big beefy goodness; and transformed Pho into the modern Vietnamese culinary ambassador loved from coast to coast. I also highly encourage our "5 spice noodle soup" to those with big culinary hearts. I like mine paleo style at least once a week!
