Phoenix Zoo is a private organization, which means they actually do need your money as opposed to just take it in through tax dollars. They managed the trick of not gouging you for food prices even as badly as the airport does. They have a broad range of carts and strollers and other mobilty assistance for people that may need help getting around. Additionally, they have a trolley train for tours through the zoo. The zoo does a good job of having a nice selection of animals, rotating exhibits in certain areas, movie and or special visual attractions, and other occasional highlight events. One of the most popular events is Zoo Lights. During this time from 5:30 p.m. to, I believe, 10:30 p.m. the zoo is open but lit and so the experience is quite different. Certain animals are much more active at night. The lighting is quite lovely in many occasions. You are permitted to bring your own food and drink into the zoo. They offer a broad range of food and drink inside the park itself. The main food Plaza has been newly renovated and has some excellent seating options, except for the south-facing windows that open up onto a large section of the dining room which make sitting in the sun in Phoenix very very questionable. The zoo accepts credit cards at all of its stations, so unlike some different zoos or other municipal or government-sponsored projects, it is easy to spend your money with the zoo.

First time going to this zoo not impressed at all. The dinosaurs were cool. Some of the exhibits were closed. Most of the animals were sleeping. We did feed the giraffe that was fun and for only $6. The cafe was decent priced and good food. It's not worth the $26.95 in my opinion. If you want to ride the train it's $6 for non members and $5 for members.

It's the right size zoo. Not too big not too small. Plenty of play areas for toddlers and young kids. Getting the zoo membership is really worth it. Can't go during July-Aug because it's usually too hot but they have everywhere places to cool down with shade or mist. And even places to sit down like comfy patio sofas which is cool for breastfeeding moms . Current Lights and Dinosaur exhibit is pretty cool and right value with membership. Go before it ends! (Dinosaur exhibit might be quite scary for toddlers )

We went for zoo lights. It was very very awesome. It's perfect for families and date nights. The zoo employees do a fantastic job of keeping everything organized. We went on a Saturday night and it was very busy but not at all chaotic. I suggest buying your tickets online to avoid the lines and get in faster.

Love seeing all the animals! Very big but I did not give it all the 🌟 because we went as a big group. And some kids were excited to see the dinosaurs but we could not see them because it costs more and yes it's only $5 a person but if u have x amount of people it because $$ we would of paid it if it was something that way offered in the beginning
