Shira was awesome. I went to see her with what I thought was a shoulder injury, which she treated, in addition to treating a problem in my back that was the cause of the shoulder pain. I know if I had gone to a doctor they would have given me an x-ray or an MRI and told me I was fine. I highly recommend going to see her for any sports related injury you need treatment for.

Shira is doing great work here. Worked with me for 2 1/2 months and took me from being in pain constantly to pain free and able to do any type of athletic activity I want.

After slipshod experiences with PTs in this area and a wrong diagnosis for my injury, I had pretty much given up hope of ever healing. That is, until I consulted with Dr. Shira Dragun, Clinical Director at Boston Sports Medicine in Marblehead. Her wealth of knowledge, listening skills, and ability to communicate effectively are second to none. She continuously draws from her extensive treatment arsenal to ensure a positive outcome. So to avoid the PT runaround, see Shira and get results.

Having been through a large number of PT experiences that were, well OK, it was an eye-opening experience to begin an association with Boston Sports Medicine in Marblehead and most specifically, Dr. Shira Dragun. Dr. Dragun (usually wants you to call her Shira) is very focused on you, the patient. Her initial evaluations are very complete, unhurried, and her knowledge and experience shows in how well she picks up minor details in the injured area. During the PT sessions you feel like you have your own personal physical therapist as she watches technique on every therapeutic exercise (and she has a large cadre of them in her mental inventory) and corrects any issues immediately. The attention to detail is far better than I have ever experienced. The progress is apparent in a very short while. For my latest round of PT for my knee, the MGH Sports Medicine practice had their own list of referred PT facilities. I politely declined, stating that I had my own PT specialist and would never think of going anywhere else. Oh, did I mention her personality is so pleasant and her focus is so intent on your recovery that I feel she is a diamond that not many people have discovered. To sum up in one sentence, Dr. Shira Dragun is the very best PT specialist (remember she has a DPT and is a Doctor) I have ever worked with and her focus, knowledge, experience, and personal manner is a 10...no maybe an 11!!! And the one true feeling you will experience is that she cares about you. That comes through first and foremost.

Shira at Boston Sports Medicine PT in Marblehead rocks. She is friendly and hard-working, and put forth great energy to help alleviate my pain. The facility is always clean with access to a full gym right outside the office doors. Shira always had the wheels spinning for different treatments if something was not helping. She is truly invested in the well-being and improvement of her patients.
