The absolute worst Doctors office I have ever been to....First off I complained about my back getting much worse......2nd even after the complaint I don't see a doctor ...only the Nurse.....3rd I get told I took my meds to quickly and broke the rule of only as prescribed so they won't see me anymore and no refills.......That is 3 straight visits of no doctor and no help and they have the nerve to humiliate me by saying they won't treat me anymore basically because my back got worse and i was taking extra meds....So sadly Its off to find a new doctor .....hopefully that cares and has an office staff that has compassion

I knew Dr. Andrea Trescot when she had a pain management clinic in Orange Park, FL 32073. I'm 53 yrs old with a birth defect in both legs. I did not start experiencing pain until 1991, just mild nagging pain. As the years went on the pain got increasingly worse and starting to interfere with my work. I was referred to Dr. Trescot around 2000 and she ran a battery of test. She iced the nerves in my legs, heated the nerves, implanted an IPG to control the pain yet still no relief. Then she started me on pain meds, all types and some would work and then stop working and she would put me on a different pain med. All the while charging my insurance company thousands of dollars. Now here's the real reason for this post, I had an appointment to see Dr. Trescot in 2004 (don't remember the month). Anyway, I was told she no longer works here and that she left for Miami, FL to be director of some pain hospital. SHE NEVER TOLD ANY OF HER PATIENTS THAT SHE WAS LEAVING!!!! In the Orange Park and Jacksonville, FL area her patients, other doctors and even pharmacies were OUTRAGED that she left without telling anyone. THAT'S WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR SHE IS, SO BE CAUTIOUS IF YOUR ARE ONE OF HER PATIENTS. If it was not for my family doctor taking over my pain meds I would be DEAD from all the withdraw and seizures that my doctor told me would happen if he did not take over my pain management.

I have nothing but good things to say about the staff at the Physicians Pain Center in St. Augustine. I've only been there on three occasions and every time I was treated very respectfully. The first time I was there we were all laughing and joking on my way out. I live at the beach now and I'm going to hate to have to go somewhere else.

You are given an appointment and instead of seeing a doctor, they rudely hand you a script and the staff member says, "That's all we can do for you." They confiscated over 40 Norco's from me on first visit, then gave me dilaudid, 2 mg's twice a day. At next visit, I said the pain medication was inadequate, their PA went to talk to the doctor and they gave me a script for 10 mg. time released hydrocodone, one a day! The PA said it was good for 12 hours. My husband commented, what about the other 12 hours? PA said nothing. Was also told my urine tested negative at 2nd appt. and they said they'd need to send it to the lab. Almost a month later, still no word on lab results. Myyl opinion; this pain clinic is a bigger pain then what I live with daily. They're fired!

I can second the horrible staff comment and the horrible service makes it even worse. When my insurance wouldn't pay for something, the doctor didn't even bother to put in a single appeal. Heartless. Stanescu is a tyrant, with no patience or empathy for her patients. They go through nursing staff literally every month. I have nothing to say but steer clear.
