I didn't want to go futher away to Camarillo so I reluctantly went to the closer store in Ventura, expecting issues due to the reviews. Pleasantly, the service by both female employees was excellent. And I have now been there three times experiencing the same good service.

I must say the customer service in this store  is not a priority. Every year I buy new Christmas ornaments from pier 1 but this year due to my bad experience I took my business to cost plus world market. The incident took place a few days before black Friday.  I asked the Hispanic associate if the ornaments were on sale yet and he didn't respond to me ....instead he looked at me up and down, paused a bit then shook his head no. I then asked him "was that a no" he then rudely said no. Another young lady that worked there witnessed everything. She saw I was extremely  upset and attempted to rectify the situation. She was kind and apologized to me for how her supervisor treated me. I will never shop at this location again. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Was shopping around to buy a kitchen table and settled on one from Pier 1.  Went into the store 30 minutes prior to close, checked a few things and with just under 10 minutes to go told the associate we were ready to order the table - she rudely stated to store was closing and escorted us to the door.  Surely they do not work on commission here!

While the products are good, the customer service I received here was sub-par. The man that was working as cashier was rude, unhelpful, and slow. If it wasn't for the fact that I had a gift card I would not have made the purchase.
