I've been with Dr Pietsch for 10 years, and he has always been top-notch. He is personable and professional, he listens well and considers all the options. If you want a friendly and effective doctor who really cares about his patients, you won't go wrong with Dr. Darrell Pietsch.

I am not a patient of Dr Pietsch, however, I have a dear friend whom I've known for years who is. Actually, she used to be his patient. After almost 8 years as her family's physician, she has recently dropped Dr Peitsch and found another. She has had neck surgery in the recent past and has been experiencing severe pain again. After a very incomplete neurological exam at Dr Peitsch's office by his PA (had it been complete, deficits would have been noted and further testing would have been ordered or a referral would have been made) she was given Toradol (an NSAID), instructed to take Aleve and this is all she would need. When this provided no relief, she phoned Dr Peitsch's office the next day and spoke with the nurse. The nurse talked to the Dr and passed the message to my friend to take Aleve, he would not prescribe pain medication. WIth all the abuse of pain medications and the seeming epidemic of drug seeking patients, I can understand his hesitancy However, this is an established patient that Dr Peitsch has an almost 8 year relationship with and drug seeking is not her issue. Why the callous brush off? My friend was so desperate to find some help for her situation and relief from her pain-if you can imagine the position she found some relief was with her chin resting on her collarbone-she actually went to the phone book and found a Doctor who would take the time to lay hands on her and find out what is wrong. After seeing her new Doctor and getting an MRI, and a subsequent call from him personally, it has been found that she has a herniated disc at C2-C3, bulging discs at C3, 4 and 5 and a bone spur at C6-7. This Doctor is very concerned with these findings, especially in the higher cervical region that could effect her breathing. Surgery is being scheduled. So, I'm glad she left Dr Pietsch who thought Toradol and 2 Aleve would do the trick on a diagnosis that is in fact, life threatening.
