Took motorcycle run today with some friends and stopped in here. Amazing, characterful place with great staff, excellent food and a unique location adjacent to small airstrip. Place was very busy with a car Club, several groups of motorcyclists and folks just out for an afternoon drive but staff were pleasant and efficient in handling the crowd. Will definitely be back. Goes on my list of great places to bring out of town visitors.

High quality food! Everything is so good! Beef brisket, pulled pork and chicken are the main choices! The sides are great as well that includes sweet potato, baked beans and cole slaw. Since the food is exceptional, combined with the fact that there is not much else in the immediate area, you can expect long waits and no parking spots left at certain times. The popularity of the joint also means that they run out of choices as well. Pik n' Pig is easily 5 stars! Fried pickles, too*****

Food was mediocre, service slow and forgetful, although friendly. My BBQ brisket was undercooked by at least 3hrs and slightly tough. Signature pulled pork was dry and weak flavored. Little smoked flavor evident. Side dishes were just OK, nothing special. Airport location was great with planes taking off and landing every 10 min. Entertaining. But the aerial show was wasted on the sub par food and service.

So I don't give ratings often but I will for this one. Atmosphere is ok but the place is dark and dingy at 1:30 pm. Waitress we had was pleasant. So to start off with my son had a hair in his wrapped silverware. Not the end of the world...it happens and the server took care of it. I ordered the brisket sandwich plate with fries and added a side of beans. Brisket was dry and ZERO flavor. Sauce on the table was no help in flavor. Fries were fine but my side of beans was literally 3 bites. 3 bites folks. Those bites cost me an extra $2.25, which if they tasted great then ok but they were Bushes out of the can. My wife ordered the half chicken plate. She got a quarter of a chicken. Also bland flavor. The hush puppies were dense and spongy. Felt like a stress ball. Too many girls working at the same time talking about something behind us with a bunch of drama. Then one waitress kept grabbing tea pitchers off of other tables and dumping them into our pitcher. Not cool. I see all the high ratings here and just wonder, Have these people never had good food before and don't know what they are missing? I won't be eating here again. My wife and I have been in the food service biz and were appalled at this restaurant.

Such a great place off the beaten path. It is so cool to see planes land while you are eating. Kids would love this place especially if they see the planes too. The food is soooooo good. Every time I come to see my brother and his family we stop by to eat. Remember to bring your cash.
