What a cute restaurant, it’s my first time coming here! My friend recommended it, and it was perfect for a casual brunch 11am. The music was a bit loud, it adds to the lively vibe though. It’s family friendly and there is lots of indoor seating. Lots of vegan and veg options as well as meat options. My meal was delicious and colorful. Service was quick and everyone working there was very nice. I highly recommend it.
The best cuban bakery in the area!! Great service and I’m obsessed with their guava pastries. They have an array of other options for breakfast and lunch. Neighborhood favorite for sure
While in town visiting my daughter we decided to get some Cuban food. This is her go to place and I can tell you the food is delicious. Her and I got the pork my wife got the flat iron steak. Let me tell you the flat iron steak is where it's at absolutely delicious. Would say the prices are a little high. But I would definitely return without hesitation.
Good Cuban food you can find in Brooklyn. Although not 100% authentic in taste, the place delivers decent Cuban food offerings. Price is ok for the amount of food that comes out. Location and space are nice
Best ham croqueta I think I’ve ever had. Coffees great. Didn’t love the breakfast chorizo empanada. The Cuban sandwich one was ok. Green sauce for the empanadas was amazing.Food: 4/5
Everything was great from start to finish. The hostess was welcoming and invited us right in. The staff were enthusiastic about the food. She shared how good the food was going to be. This may seem like "of course she would " but I've been to places where staff are not loving the food. The passion fruit mojito was the first drink my sister and I had and it was delicious. It set the meal off right. My sister had the arroz con Pollo. It was flavorful. I tasted it so I can attest to it. I had the chicken sandwich and definitely was not disappointed. We had one more drink before departing, the pink flamingo which is mezcal, guava and lime. Now I usually do not go for mezcal but I was not mad at it. It was strong as well for those who like drinks that pack a punch. The waitress was nice as well. You must experience this place. You will not be disappointed. Came back 4.2.22 Everything was still great- drinks and food. Service was slower because it was busy. But this place is a hit so I'm not surprised. Still a place to check out
Excellent Cuban food and drinks. I have been to this Restaurant twice while on my short trip to Brooklyn. Both times the food and service were excellent. I strongly recommend the Bistec de Palomilla and the Vaca Frita. For drinks the Cuban Negroni is an excellent choice. The empanadas de pollo are a great appetizer and you can end your meal in style with a cafecito and some churros.
Came here for the first time on December 3, 2023, seeking Cuban bread. The restaurant has closed but a small bakery around the corner is still open for tostadas, empanadas, pastelitos, coffee, etc. It’s a shame that they have had to scale back but my cafe con leche and a buttered tostada was still top notch! Go support them!
One of the best salads I’ve had. Went for dinner with a friend who had been there a few times and enjoyed several dishes on the menu. I got the salad with chicken and it was a 12/10. Pickled cabbage and onions, avocado, mixed greens, a good portion of protein, and a delicious vinaigrette. Even the broad beans were flavorful. I’m a huge fan of savory foods with an acidic kick, and love a healthy portion of protein and fiber. I’m also dairy-free. This checked every boxed and the flavors were so good I would have ordered another to go, but they were closed. The way the salad was plated was also gorgeous and the service was warm and generous. Couldn’t ask for more. Vegetarian options: There were two vegan entrees and the salad is vegan-friendly. There also seem to be several vegan sides. Plenty of options Kid-friendliness: We went with an 18-month. The staff was super accommodating and even shifted a table to make room for the stroller Wheelchair accessibility: We had a stroller and were able to easily exit through the back door, which was street-level.
I've been here a number of times. Love the simple décor and vibe of the place. It's really laid back and friendly. I've always managed to get a seat and they have outdoor dining in the summer. Mostly the tables are for 2-4 people and they have about 15 tables in the restaurant. I love the drives, I usually get la reine but I also recommend la cucharacha. For brunch I do recommend the coffee but the cappuccino is really large, about the size of a small soup bowl. So be mindful of the size when you order. I love the Vaca frita, the Mahi Mahi with garlic Sherry sauce and the pérnil. Of the desserts the très leche is outstanding. The wait staff is super sweet and helpful with recommendations and really patient too. I would definitely come back here
