I walked from my hotel to have lunch at this very popular restaurant and had a great experience. It was not busy on a Wednesday afternoon, and I was seated in the dining room with the trees in the middle of the room. I reviewed the menu and ordered the chicken sandwich with bacon and added avocado for an extra charge. The menu has appetizers, soup, salad, entrees including pulled pork sandwiches and three cheese mac. I received my order in about fifteen minutes with no problems. The chicken had good taste with the bacon and avocado and was not overcooked. The fries were crispy and lightly salted. I ordered a peach crumble with ice cream for dessert and it really tasty. The restaurant is busy at dinner, and you need to have a reservation. Located on Mirror Pond in downtown Bend on NW Brooks Street with outdoor seating. A great place to eat in a historic building with friendly service, a menu with a number of food options, and dining outside by the pond. Parking: Limited street parking in downtown Bend.
From A-Z this place knocked it out of the park! It’s a neat building and right on the river so you can have a nice view in the rear room or chill out in the front dining room or bar! We sat in the back and Tiffany was extremely attentive and kind! She went out of her way to take care of us and was very thoughtful in ways most people especially service staff aren’t! The food was absolutely incredible and I will crave it! The steelhead fish dish was wonderful, Caesar salad was tasty and the other foods we had were also excellent! Clean place and great service too! Loved every minute of it here! We will be back for sure!
We dined at Pine Tavern tonight. I got the linguine with grilled chicken and my husband got the burger . They also started us with these fried rolls and honey butter which were waaay too good. The chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The linguine tasted light and refreshing for a pasta dish. I had a bite , or three , of my husbands burger and it had really good layers of flavor . Burger was juicy. The fries were top notch. Idk how they get them so crispy. You could tell they change the oil in their fryers out frequently. As for the atmosphere and service, the service was fast. They got us seated within 15 minutes despite it being pretty busy. We ordered and got our food pretty quickly. Our waitress was really sweet and if you haven’t been there before, it’s a historical icon of Bend. It’s like stepping into a time capsule. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend checking it out.
Must say what a great establishment I walked upon for lunch! I was in the mood for Fish-N-Chips and boy did they deliver! Great portion, great presentation, & full of flavor. Fantastic ambiance & just an all around amazing WIN! In town until the morning & probably will go back for dinner tonight! Great job!
Stayed one night in Bend since ride to Crater Lake in morning did not seem too bad from there. So happy I ate here for the one night in Bend. The atmosphere was comfortably and had a vintage set up. The food was great as well! Madison was my server and was awesome, made the experience there very enjoyable. Definitely recommend for those looking for a good eating spot in Bend!
Outstanding food & service. Our server Danny was wonderful. You have to make reservations. It is a very busy restaurant. We were seated in the room with the trees, which was a real treat!Food: 5/5
Best happy hour in Bend. Pine Tavern is a mainstay, it’s not hip and trendy but it’s a solid choice if you want to experience old school Bend. Everything was wonderful. We had shrimp fajitas, garlic fries, and several well cocktails off the happy hour menu. Including this scone bread pudding dessert! Great locals spot. Parking: The paid lot adjacent to the restaurant is only $1 an hour.
Mouse sighting!! The food was good but me and my group watched a mouse peek it's head out of a hole and then run across the room to the otherside. When this issue was brought up to management Anthony he said the construction next door that began last month has been creating mouse issues. Which means this has been an ongoing issue that he was aware of. He offered no solution to the issue and said it was being taken care of. I asked him if the Oregon health authority was aware and allowed the restaurant to remain open while having ongoing pest issues and he said yes then slipped away. I had to call him back twice because he kept just leaving mid conversation. The servers were nice. I didn't bother eating my meal because of the mouse, but the few bites I took were good. My group ate their food no issues but we also just got back from hiking and were starving
Chicken fried chicken and steak salad were great, along with Rhode Island calamari. I am so grateful that you still get the scones and honey butter. We love the history here. Our server was cheerful and visited our table the perfect amount of time.Food: 5/5
