I’ve known Dr. Edwards for many years and throughout this time, he has provided dental consultations and second opinions for me and several of my family members. These consultations have addressed a wide range of dental and periodontal concerns. In all cases, he has consistently offered timely, evidence-based information that is specific to our individual circumstances. He explains all available options in detail with pros and cons, enabling us to consider alternative (often less expensive) treatment options, avoid unnecessary procedures, and make oral health decisions with a high level of confidence.

Dr. Edwards was able to answer all of my questions and provided me with several different treatment options. He even discussed the science behind the different filling materials. I feel comfortable that he is putting my care first and not trying to sell me an unnecessary cosmetic solution. This guy knows his stuff and truly cares!

Dr. Edwards’ commitment to the advancement of patient care by staying on the forefront of preventive and restorative dental knowledge is second to none. Constantly collaborating with colleagues and attending continuing education conferences across the country, Dr. Edwards strives to educate himself on and deliver cutting edge dental technology to his patients. This dedication has had an extremely positive influence on my life. Thanks to the enthusiasm and inspiration of Dr. Edwards, I’m currently a senior pre-dental major at Whitman College. My sophomore year, looking to get a local student involved with research, Dr. Edwards reached out to me with an idea to investigate a popular dental product’s potentially exaggerated claims. Over the course of the past year Dr. Edwards has poured countless hours and materials into this project guiding me in his spare time. The results of this project, along with several others Dr. Edwards has in mind, may have major implications in terms of what and how dentists use a variety of products to deliver the most effective, affordable patient care.

Dr. Edwards is an excellent dentist and I would recommend him highly. He is very knowledgeable while still being down to earth. He cares about his patients and it shows!

A dentist's dentist! As a dentist, I appreciate the knowledge that Dr. Edwards has. His knowledge of the diseases and treatments of oral problems is way ahead of many of his peers. He and his staff care for and about his patients. I highly recommend Pioneer Family Dentistry and Dr. Herb Edwards.
