Recently had a complete overhaul! All I can say is WOW! You can tell that hundreds of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars went into the improvements. All can enjoy the new futuristic THREE STORY TALL playground, mesmerizing water fall art, splash pad, new bathrooms, sky walk, rope web. Looks like the city of Mesa making another step towards make the downtown area more upscale and appealing to all! Kids can have hours upon hours worth of entertainment and fun while parents relax in the shade of large Ramada’s. There are also plenty of picnic tables to have a family picnic. Bring the kids, dog, parents, grandparents, family, and friends because it is fun for every one! Great job City of Mesa!

This is the most awesome park I've EVER been to! The water/spray park has colorful lights at night and the water shoots out designs, I've never seen anything like it! The train is awesome and the kids can climb all over it. Oh and the best part--- they have the tallest slide ever sooooo fun!!!

UPDATE: This park has had a major remake this past year and to start 2018 off the park is now reopened to the most amazing play equipment, a huge bridge that takes you up into the trees, roller slides, gigantic slides, a splash pad. And best of all they have kept the historic train. The playground is now on the West side and the Basketball courts is on the East, so they have traded places. Come see this new and improved park. .......................................................... Before: This is a large park that has history on one end and play at the other. In between there is basketball, volleyball and horseshoe courts. There is a very decent restroom. The picnic Ramada's there are extra large, perfect for large parties. There is a train that sits in the middle of the park in the large sandy play area. The train is fenced to keep children out but feral cats have made it their home with the kindness of strangers leaving food and water for them between the bars. Some might be put off by the cat feces but I really haven't seen any feces and my kids just love the cats.

Took three grandchildren — ages 11, 10, 8 — and when we left I asked them how it compared to Mesa Riverview Park, the one we usually go to. They all said they liked it better mainly because of the higher climbing structure and slide. They noticed that the splash pad is not as big though. I liked that the restrooms are closer to the play structures & there were plenty tables.

I love their new upgrade. The slide is pretty cool... I think they should add some more stuff though like swings and maybe another jungle gym for the kids to play of. They do have other stuff though like a splash pad. A train you can check out. Basketball hoops. Lots of room for kids to ride bikes or scooters ect.
