Love the cakes! Always my go to for ordering cakes for birthdays or special occasions - or because it's a Tuesday and you want cake. The bread is always fresh and ready to be eaten on the spot. Whoopie pies are also ways a great bet.

On Ash Wednesday (no meat for Catholics), I asked for rice balls (arancini). I asked if the "lasagna" variety had meat in it and they said it has beef and ricotta. So I ordered "traditional" and "spinach." I returned to my office to eat and then discovered when I got near the middle of the "traditional" ball that it contained chicken and peas. I've been to places where "plain" or "traditional" is just rice and cheese, as it should be imho. The one I got should've been called "chicken and peas" or something to that effect.

Bear in mind, Piro's is on the bulletin for one of the local Catholic parishes. They're supposed to know that Ash Wednesday and every Friday until the end of March are meat-free days and therefore they ought to specify whether or not certain varieties of their menu items contain meat. Putting oneself on the Catholic parish bulletin while blatantly ignoring the Catholic faith is a gross misrepresentation of oneself and indicates that one does not belong or deserve to be advertised on that bulletin. Food tastes good tho. Otherwise I would have given a lower rating for negligence.
