This was an interesting adventure! A great place to take the kids ... definitely a family place. Well marked paths will take you on small journeys around the land .. some close to the water, some inland .. around a small pond ... a working farm ... plenty of places to take shade or have a picnic.

I enjoyed watching the animals and seeing all the different flowers, trees, and sites .. Oh, and you can see Mt. Vernon from the boat dock!

A beautiful place to catch up on history,  a nice peaceful fishing pier and a cool view of George Washington's Mount Vernon right across the river!

A good place to observe homestead life. There is a nice view by the river. Some short trails, but don't go for the trails! This is a good trip to pair with Fort Washington Park, which is nearby.
