Popular place for a quick bite of the buffet. Food is always fresh, and staff are attentive. The atmosphere is friendly for all. Despite being a buffet, the restaurant will take requests for specific specialty pizza to be added to the buffet while you are there and will bring the pizza to you to give you slices before putting it on the bar.... no extra charge to get your favorites. Parking: Plenty of parking available Kid-friendliness: Many great options for kids to eat. Parents need to help work the buffet, but they are sure to find favorite items for their little ones. High chairs are available and everything is well cleaned Wheelchair accessibility: Some spaces can be a little more compact just because of the number of people and the flow of the building. The buffet could be a little challenging potentially because of the need to hold a plate while you fill it.... knowing how friendly and helpful staff are, I'd be willing to bet staff would help anyone who needed assistance.
We made a reservation for our family get-together. 12 adults, 8 children, 3 babies. My first contact was a phone call to ask about pricing. This was confusing, for some reason. I needed to drag the information out of him, with multiple questions. When I went in to prepay for everyone, the service was great, efficient/cheerful/polite. Party day was very busy as it was a Saturday afternoon. My complaint is this : even though I called and reserved space, we were crammed and crowded into a small area with at least 2 other parties. There was NOT enough room for our family! I believe this is the REASON for reservations? The servers did a great job of keeping the used dishes cleared away. Our grandkids did enjoy the arcade games, we had bought them all the combo deal. I hope Pizza Ranch does better for future customers who reserve space.
I like a nice buffet, and it was I guess, I had heard it was very good and the food was very good, but I guess it was the variety, the pizza that I had was good it was not deluxe, went back a second time and still no deluxe. The desert bar was nice also, but little variety but what there was it was good. the staff worked the tables very well.
This is the first bad experience I have had at PR. Love the food and usually the staff. A group of widows went tonight and I talked a friend who is gluten intolerant into coming. I had checked the website and it advertised gluten free pizza. After we paid for the buffet we were asked if we would like a special pizza made. I said we needed a gluten free one. Staff person said they didn't make them for the buffet. She said it would cost more to get just the pizza. My friend decided to not pay extra, so, all she had for Valentine's dinner was a salad and a dish of ice cream. She could have at least gotten a discount if she couldn't have anything more. Yes, she could have had potatoes and carrots, but, she didn't know if they were cross contaminated. The website should be more specific stating you can't have gluten free pizza and the salad bar.
Very good chicken and dessert pizza. Regular pizza crust seemed under cooked and not much flavor. Otherwise, be careful as kitchen doors are right by the buffet tables. I almost got hit twice by staff.Food: 3/5
My family and I to go to Pizza Ranch for dinner on a Thursday night at 6PM with a party totaling 7, needless to say they were pretty packed. We were seated fairly quickly which we were happy about. The food tasted great, the employees were very fast to remove plates from the table, now to the disappointment. When getting my drink I decided to try Mr Pib, it was flat. Dumped it out, grabbed some coke, flat. Cherry Coke, flat. Tried a couple in the other machine, flat. Settled on some fruit juice that doesn't rely on much carbonation. Now, thankfully I'm more of a fried chicken and mashed potatoes type of person because there was almost no pizza on the buffet. Any time a fresh pizza came out, it was WIPED within a minute, it was to the point I could hear other people whispering amongst each other in confusion on availability. I get it, it's absolutely slammed, you just can't keep up. The dinner with my family soon turned awkward when I was done eating and everyone else had barley ate because most of their time spent was waiting at the buffet line for pizza to come out. So an average 45 minute dinner lasted more like an hour and a half. Again, great employees, great service. It's just shocking when a place allows so much seating when the kitchen/ovens can't keep up if those seats are full. I will be returning in the future, just probably not during a dinner rush haha
We ate at Pizza Ranch on Sherman B. in Muskegon AGAIN. Everything is fresh and good. The people that work there are really nice. They work hard to keep the tables clean and are pleasant about it. The worker that we had this time was Ronda. We really like her. She works hard and is very pleasant.Food: 5/5
Food was decent. The ice machine was down. The 2nd pop machine was out if most pops and when we let a worker know about it they never did anything about it. The arcade was cheap date and funFood: 3/5
I went in Jan with a large group and was put into a party room where the floors were sticky, the main dining area was so overcrowded we had to squeeze between tables and close to others just to reach the buffet, and the servers don't get breaks. Management puts on their forms that their underaged servers are getting their legally mandatory break but then not actually giving it to them. Our server ended up hiding in the party room chatting with us just to get some semblance of a break where she disclosed the info about management, and our next server confirmed it when asked. My group won't be back to support a business that doesn't treat their staff correctly.
Went here to try their chicken as some people I know said it was really good. I was extremely disappointed. Long wait, and when I finally got my food the chicken tasted like it was cooked in oil that had burnt old crumbs in it. It was gross and oily. The side I chose, mashed potatoes and gravy, tasted like cheap processed cafeteria food. The biscuit that I got was burnt. On top of that it was kinda pricey for the small amount of food you get. You'd be better off going to KFC or Lee's Chicken. Would NOT recommend. Save your money and taste buds, and go elsewhere.
