I love going here to read, study, do homework and hang with friends. Love their diffrent sections for quiet or medium volume, love the books and computers. Thank you Placentia Library for giving me a great library experience!

This has been our favorite community library for years. They have great programs for the kids and a friendly staff.

I moved to California from another state where people value libraries more and there is no Prop 13 preventing library funding, so I have yet to encounter a library in Orange County that is worthy of five stars. That said, this library is loud. Very loud. They do nothing to encourage the children, teens and adults to be quiet. And on top of that they have noisy programs. One holiday season they even brought in groups of singers....and had then sing in the adult section while the children were making crafts and being loud. So not only are the patrons loud, the library itself brings in programs that encourage loudness. This is not the place for serious study, not even if you are under 12. If you want to read a book or magazine in here, forget about it. If you want to watch movies on the wifi without headphones or leave your phone on ringer and take loud calls from whomever, this is the place for you. Lastly, if you are not a high schooler trying to impress a college or a retired person, they have no volunteer opportunities for you and have no use for you at all. The Fullerton, Buena Park, Newport Beach, and Brea libraries are all better for studying, and they don't bring large troops of folk singers in, and if there is kids craft night, it is in a room somewhere so the kids aren't being loud throughout the library.

Great children's programs. We love spending our time here, great way to bond with the kiddos. They have baby lap-sit story time, toddler and preschool story time as well week night music programs and events over the weekends. It's pretty awesome :)
