One of the most Beautiful buildings architecturally speaking in Auburn. It's great place to take a few minutes to explore while you are on I80 traveling back and forth across the country. It's right off the freeway and you can snap a picture of the giant gold digger at the same time. :-)

There's gold in them thar hills! Plus a unique collection of quilts, Indian arrowheads and baskets, gold mining pans and scales, old timey telephones and radios, and a true-to-life replica of a sheriff's office. An excellent museum, located at the beautiful Placer County Courthouse.
