I had the Escondido cheesesteak and it did not disappoint! It had onions, peppers, steak and cheese all in tasty I think Asiago cheese bun. It was divine! I normally don’t like hot sandwiches but I will definitely order again!
We've walked past this place numerous times and we finally decided to stop in. Food was great and they had a good selection of beers. Will be coming by again soon.
Finally tried this place. We ordered the Nine Burger its okay but the husband ordered the Escondido Cheesesteak and love it. The Truffle Shuffle Fries were good with choices of dipping sauce love their honey mustard and aioli sauce. They have good selection of beers but we didn't try the beer at this visit. We did try the fresh fruit lemonade mango, berry and pineapple and they were very good and refreshing. The place decor is cool and staff was friendly. It a good casual place to enjoy a meal and drinks.
Great place to kick back and have a brew! Prior review a few years ago . It's better than ever adding cool punk merch, vinyl for sale not just punk pinball machines and ice cold brew. Thank you for investing your small business in Escondido, the city I grew up in.
The beer is good, but my issue is the burgers. I spent $28 on a west coast IPA, a plane nine burger, and frys. The burger fell apart instantly, I found my hands holding onto what ever part of the disintegrating burger I could. The beer was great "West Coast IPA", but tonight just grinds my gears. I was craving a great burger and I went home hungry. Not cool...
Happened by this place while I was in town from Philly for work this week. What a find!! The waiter/bartender was friendly and funny aand the food was amazing! If I ever find myself back in Escondido I’ll be back. In the meantime I’ve recommended it to some of my colleagues in the area! Parking: No trouble parking
I visited this place last Monday for lunch around noon. I found this place by accident looking for a neighboring bar... ..not sure why Google maps didn't list it as a nearby bar when I searched for beer restaurants. I was EXTREMELY PLEASED with the service and menu options. Excellent beer selection with fair pricing on all. Lunch specials and regular menu offered better choices than typical bar fare. The QUALITY was something for them to be proud of. I also noticed how CLEAN the place was throughout. I ordered the sausage plate with homemade kraut and really delicious homemade mustard. The bartender / server, Chelsea, was perfect. If I even looked up she checked in me. Her timing and attention was incredible. It wasn't too busy but she cut up fruit and talked to patrons and did not play on her cell phone ever. THANK YOU!! At one point she had to help a delivery guy and the chef came out and greeted guests in a warm friendly way. I will absolutely come here again!!! Highly recommend
Granted we went on a busy night cruising grand the food and tap list is amazing. The service is relatively quick to help with our request, and the vibe is super cool. Our food took extremely long though. Even for a busy night, I figured that 50 minutes might be stretching the limits. If it wasn’t for their good tap list, I think we would of left sooner. Maybe coming back during a non busy night might help. Either way, I recommend this place for a good night out.
EDIT: the reply from the establishment brought this rating down to one star. They did not call out 10 or 5 minutes before that the kitchen was closing and if they did, it wasn’t loud enough for to consumers to actually hear and I do not appreciate being told what my food taste is. I have eaten at plenty of “eclectic” restaurants and am always willing to try anything once, and I just give an honest opinion of how I believe the food tastes. The poor review wasn’t even for the food, it was for the service. If we didn’t have such a poor experience especially after the response to this review it would have probably been a four star rating with the same opinions about the food. Which in my opinion, isn’t terribly eclectic at all. It’s pretty normal food, I just wasn’t overly impressed. We were pretty disappointed in this place. The vibe is super chill and the staff was really nice, but the good experience ended there. We came in pretty late maybe 10 minutes before 10? after an incredibly long day with no food, and the guys laid a drink and food menu down and let us browse it for a couple minutes. We ordered a drink and said we would peruse the menu for a minute before we ordered. We got our drinks and no one came back to our table for probably a solid 15-20 minutes. We finally move up to the bar and asked when the kitchen closed. The guy said “oh it closed at 10.” NO ONE told us. Why would you even hand us food menus 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and NOT tell us it closed in 10 minutes? We would have either ordered right away or been understanding and had a drink and left. But no, we were handed food menus and then no one came back to ask if we wanted food. After the day we had, it was just a cherry on top to a bad experience. We went across the street to O’Sullivans and literally the first thing the guy checking IDs told us was when the kitchen closed. We actually ended up coming back here the next night because the restaurant we wanted to go to was closed due to being booked out for a wedding we’re just in town visiting and we didn’t want to drive far. Our server was super nice and it was a better experience, but it doesn’t really make up for what happened the night before. The food was fine, not super great but not terrible. Got the jalapeños for an appie, it was decent. I got the sausages with sauerkraut and pickled onions which were pretty good. I liked the house made IPA mustard that came with them. The garlic parm fries were good and the steak was okay. The Mac n cheese was super bland and didn’t have much flavour. I didn’t try the tacos but our cousin was picking at it the whole time and didn’t eat much. We got the creme brûlée and key lime pie for dessert. The creme brûlée was pretty good but the key lime pie wasn’t good. I honestly just have a bad taste in my mouth after what happened during our very first experience. It’s not hard to inform your customers of the hours your kitchen runs, especially if you’re going to hand them menus.
Legit food, tasty. Got the garlic fries and fancy pants burger. Would order again. Has a play area for kids as well. Staff are attentive, beer is great. Go!
